They nerfed it a bit recently.
I don’t understand why they remove the win streak bonus after Gold. It’s messed up you can win-51 matches in a row and only go up one star-rank. Especially if you get good with your character outside of ranked. Then you have to just play so many people that you’re clearly more skilled than to get to a more appropriate level in ranked.
Grinding through platinum is mind numbing

@artboy598 yeah these days I'm just very mindful to pass all my placement matches on new characters so I can skip right to diamond. I find it far easier to grind through diamond than platinum. The playstyles in platinum make me want to pull my hair out lmaoo nobody got time for drive impact spam. Makes the game feel like a quick time event simulator
it's not an infinite and it's really silly it only works if they mash after your ST.HP and not guarding.

Also worth adding onto this that if you land PC or DR with this move, it leaves you with a perfect frame trap for command grab if you have it.

I know it’s so bad - I just like that one cuz it makes the combo counter go brrrr and higher and it’s satisfying lol. And honestly I didn’t think my tutorials were gonna blow up like this so I just did whatever I wanted. 🤣

@@WeHoBo I guess I just need to spend more time in the lab. Cause when I have the bot set up to grab on wake up. I'm getting grabbed out of the elbow (sometimes) it's like I need a micro wait before inputing it in .what I have been doing is throw, dash, Micro wait elbow. And have had 50/50 success with it. What works way easier but isn't as confusing for the opponent is throw, walk, use elbow to shimmy

I always thought Jamie's not bottom tier for sure. Yeah, he may lack some things and have bad matchups but he's not weak AT ALL. Besides, he's really fun to play. I think he's the same case as Lei in Tekken: a slept on character put in bottom tier just because he's too complex to take the time to learn him.
