French's Canyon, Tieton , WA.

Tim Franks and I rode part of French's Canyon. It was a fun ride, very very rocky. It has been a long time since I had been there. Only one Rattlesnake and that was within the first 10-seconds of the ride. There are a lot of cattle trails (single track) to be explored. I'll be back......

Another filming adventure. This time it was in the Cowiche Canyon Conservancy. It was a windy day today but the weather overall was great. I had a lot of fun filming this. I did not get to do everything I wanted to do because of a mechanical. Still not sure what happened but mu rear derailleur is jammed and won't move. Tried some different camera positions and I really need to work on the chest...

1:32 Make sure your boots have the seam at 3 O'clock facing the rear with sealant in the seam. There is no flex in the seam. VW owners manual. For your viewers. Great job!

You did a great and responsible job with that car. Only change I would make is to raise the front and lower the back so they're even but that's just my preference. Love the last year of the original bug, 66, with metal sunroof and pop out side, air-conditioning, windows!

Can anyone advise where is the beat place to restore my dad's old 1967 VW beetle? It was his first vehicle to own and one that brought his kids including myself home from hospital. It has great sentimental value to him and would be great to be restored. It is currently in Tanzania. Any ideas are most welcome!
Thinking of buying a 1966 bug myself. We shall see how it goes.

Can anyone tell why my 66' VW Bug had a crank open sunroof?
Volkswagen came out with the crank style sunroof in either 64’ or 65’. It replaced the sliding rag top....

Perfect Video...what drop did you install for the front end drop? Or is that just a tire size difference to achieve the dropped look. I have the exact same car...though considered a ‘67 due to the Aug of 1966 build date. I am in the middle of the same body off restoration. Always researching. Thanks for sharing.

Great job on the restoration! We have a '66 Beetle that I am doing a mechanical and interior refresh on. Where did you buy your interior kit? TMI? Trying to decide between TMI and Sewfine at the moment.

Some very quality work went on here, but for me personally a car like this should look stock, so I was disappointed with the alterations that became evident at the end.

Looks like you started with a good subject car, mostly rust free. Looks like Java Green original color? I have a Java green, 67 sunroof we spent 3 years restoring at about $15k just in parts and materials. Looks like you are missing the sunroof weather stripping. Is car still 6 volt? Nice photo history with music. Restoring is a huge job. Now you have a great little classic VW!
