On October 30th, 2006, Bring Me The Horizon released their first studio album, Count Your Blessings via visible noise records and it somehow managed to debut on the UK album chart at number 93.
And here’s why I say “somehow”. In 2006, the UK album charts weren’t exactly loaded with heavy music. Some of the biggest selling albums of that year included artists that most Bring Me The Horizon fans have probably never listened to or even ever heard of for the most part.

Funeral for a Friend aren't post-hardcore. Post-hardcore is bands like Fugazi, Refused and Husker Du. FfaF are emo; emo is closer to power pop like Weezer and Fountains of Wayne than anything punk. Nothing wrong with power pop, I love the Presidents of the United States of America, but let's not pretend FfaF are remotely associated with punk rock.
FFAF are not even close remotely close to power pop. They have always been post-hardcore dude. Post Hardcore goes way beyond Fugazi and Refused.
And this is not my "opinion" fyi, this is what the band have always been labelled as.

Do you know how many BMTH fans were probably babies or under 10 in 2006? And Blunt and Razorlight were never big in America so a large proportion of BMTH's American fan base will have no idea who those are.

It's just weird how much near-40s Oliver Sykes is trying to be a TikTok hyperpop-metal kid.
I'm just saying and maybe it was just the people I hung out with back then but chains unplugged was just as iconic as nirvana especially nut shell jar of flies not 100 percent on this was the only e.p to hit the top 10 no promotion but out those bands I just always seen chains as superior

Bmth was one of my favorite bands like 12 years ago. Than I stopped liking them for a long while. Got back into them and their newer music 3 or 4 years ago. Now they are arguably my favorite band, I love them more than ever and everything from edge of your seat to nex gen. And nex gen has been a masterpiece, possibly my favorite bring me album.
