Nice climb! I've been looking for someone to capture this route in the CZcams age. Climbed this route 40 years ago.

I was just there today! Not flowing nearly as much but still beautiful! To my knowledge what you say was a sink. There was a resort in the area because of the springs! I'm thinking the sink was may have been cleaning fish that could be caught in the creek. Or maybe for filling of water containers.

Great lookout , I've hiked it from eastern and western approach, at night when it was below freezing. Sierra county is just amazing! Haskell peak is another one.

I'm looking at hiking Boundary Peak next month. How was the road from 264 to the reservoir? Did you take Chiatovich from 264, or Trail Canyon Road? Would high clearance 2wd make it? Any info would be appreciated.

Nice little hike---I was in the area about 25 years ago with wife and son in July. We hiked the same route to the hut and then went down to Sand Lake. Very nice overnight trip at a pretty little lake. Even caught 2 trout! In the late afternoon there was a serious hail storm.

I saw you coming down the mountain. I recognize your gorgeous dog. Terrific hike. I have subbed . I also have a hiking adventure channel, if you could check it out. Thanks. (it will be a bit before I post my video of this hike.)
