Lol thats the transmission dipstick. The Z4 doesnt have an oil dipstick.

How do you check transmission fluid on bmw z4?

Can the plastic brushed aluminum trim be removed?

Does that BC button on your turn signal lever also change what the display in your speedometer is showing? My car has an aftermarket radio and a turn lever without the BC button on the end. If I replace it with an OEM lever with the BC button, will it then toggle info in the instrument cluster display?

Looks like that brace is hiting your engine cover? Any wear on the cover from the engine vibrating against it?

Nice video. The valvomax oil valve make this job so much easier on this car. Hard to not get it all over the underbody cover. Also, it helps to not take of the oil cap until after it's drain so it doesn't shoot out (you can start cracking it).

Don't just "tug" the electrical plugs until they come loose. You will rip the wiring out of the connector. Unlock the connector by pressing on the locking tab with a pick or small screwdriver. It literally slides out without any effort that way, no damage.

How do you know when to replace the ignition coils?

I did this mod a while back and it made really nice pops and crackles and then around 6 months to a year later it kind of stopped doing it unfortunately, not sure why. if anyone has some input plz share

Fantastic video! I have a E89 Z4 as my daily but bought a 3.0 E85 for fun. I spent almost 30 minutes looking for the dipstick. Turns out the E85 is as complex as my iDrive BMW. Thanks! 😁

I just replaced my shifter with a new one. Followed your instructions and it worked. I do have to say that since mine is an ‘03, thats 20+ years that it’s been in there so it was very difficult to remove. Tried your method I’d one hand and no way, ended yanking with both hands and out it came. I have a wood grain dash and I put it a shifter that has wood accents. Looks great! Thanks for the info!

I had a small bottle of Starbucks Frappuccino from a gas station, half empty and tightly in my cupholder, I wasn’t driving fast or crazy or carving canyons, I just took a left turn and boom. It pops open, and the bottle ends up on the floor that is super dangerous imagine if that went under the brake pedal!!!

The wind shield drains are just above the soundgenerator wall outlet. If your drain tube is gone then yeah it drains on top of the sound tube.
