Coleman AT125UT ATV assembly guide
We decided to get some inexpensive ATVs for the kids and I had been looking to order them online. I found that Tractor Supply by me here sold Coleman branded Tao Raptor 125cc model which was one I had been considering. They went on an incredible sale that swayed me to finally make the purchase. Here is how they showed up and what it takes to assemble them. My hope is that with careful assembly and good maintenance these will last a long time for my kids to enjoy.
A side note: I dont script anything, and there is no such thing as retakes for me. When I combine the videos into one I listen to myself ramble sometimes. This is hours of work and a 1.5hr video. I ramble and repeat myself but hey... its free video help. This is just my way of trying to help other people, not my source of income. I like to respond to people that ask questions so feel free to tag me in the comments!

Harbor Freight Mini Mill (Grizzly) drive gear replacement

I was milling and suddenly the end mill stopped dead in it's tracks. The motor still spun, but no movement from the spindle. Pulled the motor off the top and found the white drive gear had shattered as well a tooth had broken off off the motor gear. I ordered the parts and winter set in full swing. It's now been 3-4 months and a warm spring day is upon us, so back out to the shop to fix things ...

Replace your LED tail light on a 2012 Dodge Journey

A minor fender bender by backing into a pole at low speed caused us to pop the plastic on both rear driver side lights. Of course since these are LED lights, they aren't cheap! Fortunately we picked these up very reasonably off Amazon and with about 15min of spare time on a Saturday replaced both fixtures. Both sides of the car are identical just reversed. We replaced the headlights with LED upgrades that make a huge difference in your ability to see at night. I am very uncomfortable having the only thing keeping it from leaking like a river is some silicone, that stuff doesn't hold up to UV very well at all (especially white) and you will be resealing it pretty much every year or every other year. If I were you I would add a silicone collar over the metal one and put some wood underneath the roof to run the screws into so they have something more than just thin metal to bite into.

    Why did you buy 3 125cc ATVs while you could of bought a 169cc version of the Coleman but called the AT200

    • @ShawnWhetsel
      @ShawnWhetsel Před 6 měsíci

      I don't know if I understand your question fully. However, I purchased them for my three kids. The AT200 looks to be full sized as well as three times as much. I paid just over $1000 a piece for the UT125 while at the time of this writing the AT200 is $3000. So I could have gotten one full size ATV that would have been more difficult for my kids to ride, or three that were a better size for my kids. I did consider purchasing 110cc TaoTao models, but they were the same price (even slightly more) and smaller physically than the 125s. The 125 has been a great size for young riders after having them now. My wife and I can even ride them around comfortably enough.

    It is 1-6-23 at 1pm PST. Is the silicone all that is protecting your penetration from leaking. It is backward from a traditional roof flashing technique (coming from the underside of the roof, instead of the too of the roof). Thanks, AM.

  • @charlesfrank5920

    That is such a terrible way to flash that. Next time use a flexible high heat rubber boot that forms around the roof ribs.

    Well you don't need a 14mm wrench or a wrench. You do need a 13mm socket and ratchet for the caliper bolts, no wrench needed, 9mm or 3/4" lugnut 4 way tiretool needed. Watch how you put the caliper back on as you can twist the brake line

    I grew up with one of these (since it was new in 1983) The plunger on the side is a primer. you pull it out and let it go back in itself(NEVER PUSH) until it stays out. When these things get grumpy to start, look at THE AIR FILTER These things are like 40 years old. If you have the original air filter, it is probably not cleaning out properly anymore. A lot of people don;t even think to clean the filters up. The carbs are ultra simple and almost never fail unless you are trying to restore a junkyard quad that sat outside in the weather for the last 10 years. Suzuki's quality(and Honda) in the 80's was top shelf, no corners cut. Keep ethanol gas out of them, keep them inside if you can, get it started once a month and it will run.

    • @ShawnWhetsel
      @ShawnWhetsel Před 11 měsíci

    Great video on rebuilding the carb....however, the engine will not crank unless you have a water hose connected to the pump. Ir's a safety factor to avoid ruining a pump by running it without water. Don't try all the other things you were going to do....just connect a water hose to the pump inlet and turn on the water....if your carb repair was sucessful it will fire right up.
