I love Jason and hot take (hate piper) i feel like the issues of Jiper are all pinned on Jason when first of all its all heras fault but he still seems to be blamed, when honesty out of the two piper forced it more, also you cannot compare Jason to other characters such as Percy and nico who are ultimately the strongest in the series so as much as i like Jason percy and nico are just more, also if you like the roman side of all of this Ive been rereading this awesome fanfic by combattombat well its more like 3 fics in a series with more to come but anyway its called “Impreator” it is legit a 10/10 read

I've always thought that Piper's character is so, so interesting on paper. Like, she's a daughter of Aphrodite (we haven't seen that many Aphrodite girls except Silena, and she wasn't really a main character), she's half Native American (there's very, very, very few mainstream book characters set in the present day that are Native American), and her dad is a movie star (such a funny and unique concept). But the problem is, Uncle Rick tries so hard to deliberately make her unique, that he turns her into a run of the mill YA heroine. Instead of allowing a character to be both feminine and a good fighter (without strings attached like Silena being a traitor), he makes her inherently despise any of the traditionally Aphrodite things, like makeup, doing hair, fashion, etc. It's so sad that her character got so watered down, she could have been so great.

I think that everyone in the Half Blood universe is really lucky that Percy is able to handle his cool the way he does. So far, he’s only been able to lose it in the hell of hells and when someone is trying to end him and Annabeth down there. Takes a lot to push him over the edge, but when he’s finally past that point…well it would be like Kratos from the GoW games.

all right, Ima rant there is nothing wrong with the way she was written and y’all are saying oh all she did was talk about Jason. That’s cause she thought was her boyfriend and had actual romantic feelings for her sense of what’s wrong with traditional feminine things what’s wrong with not wanting to look perfect all the time what’s wrong with not liking pink or dresses or your hair always looking good I’m the same. I do not understand so OK so she hated for saying Jason is hotter than Percy let’s not forget she’s never seen Percy before and doesn’t even know him. Jason is her boyfriend and she throws off the whole. I’m not like other girls. No she doesn’t. She emphasis in the fact that she doesn’t like that stuff because she’s insecure and bullied the way she looks so she wouldn’t look the same which frankly y’all are forgetting the reason she hate Drew so much because she looks like all the popular girls that used to bully her and because she’s a disrespectful dictator Piper McLean is one of the best characters. She’s the kindest, sweetest and lightheaded character ever she wasn’t written badly at all and she wasn’t annoying. All she did was send message that girls don’t make up. All you need is the person and the kindness in your heart but nopeople decided to take that as an insult that she think she’s better than everyone she doesn’t if anything she has low self-esteem on this I don’t care she was never written. Jason is honestly my favorite PJO character

I think that Annabeth belongs in Gryfindor and Clarisse too. I think that determination and no hesitation to jump right into battle is a sign of Gryffindor and that's a big trait in both Annabeth and Clarisse. Also Annabeth is very witty and way more Ravenclaw than Slytherin. She is very smart and curious and also very passionate about learning architecture which I think makes her way more of a Gryffindor or Ravenclaw than a Slytherin. Her fatal flaw was pride but she was able to overcome that and never caved in and joined Luke. Also you put all the villains into slytherin. If you stereotype that slytherins are all villans then you can't just throw a person like annabeth in that catagory as if she is very similar to those villains.

For me Annabeth belongs in ravenclaw, simply because ravenclaw stands for knowledge , and expanding certain fields of magic(in hp universe) which would translate into crafts or fields of science irl Annabeth being passionate and willing to study architecture belongs more into ravenclaw for me. That said, I’ve read only first PJ series so I don’t really know what happens to her later in the story Great vid btw

Although I felt that determination is a Hufflepuff trait, not a Slytherin one. And yeah, you did put too many people in slytherin. One of the reason I find Jason so hard to place is that his personality is bland. Also, Hylla, Hazel and Calypso are good candidates for Ravenclaw. Nico is not a Huflepuff, he just seems very loyal to Will because he finally has someone who likes him for who he is. Piper fatal flaw is her low self-esteem so her whole journey should revolve more on her find her worth, not just her clinging over Jason for the whole series... Here is my own idea to 'fix' her story: (NB. it's a long rant) The Lost Hero should end with Piper find her confidence (She did, but I think it's more of like her confidence to make relationship to Jason instead of Her own Confidence).... The Mark of Athena should show Piper growth after month of training in Camp Half-Blood, beside her confidence, her combat skill, her charmspeak, Maybe to make some room for the next book, She still find the way to fit in the crew (I don't really understand why Rick gave this to Leo personality instead of her).... But in the book, her whole existence (exaggerated) is predict future, her relationship with Jason (and weirdly enough still not stable)... House of Hades. I think this is where (if decide) that Jiper should been start.... But again it shouldn't be her whole story arc... Piper found her role in the crew and finally doing major part in closing Door of Death. In Blood of Olympus..... like in the books, she should act more to negotiator between two camp... But instead of trying hard to speak confident and using charmspeak, she just confidently speak and sputing fact to make both camp in peace (w/o charmspeak), and for Godsake let her use her dagger in battle, I know it act more as an accessory (which is kinda weird considering her whole personality is not liking accessories like other Venus kid).... Her broke up with Jason also feel so sudden, the last we met them is after the Blood of Olympus, and month later they broke up... Also the fact that she getting date shorty after Jason death, while her personality in HoO is about their relationship is kinda off.... Rick should ended her story in ToA with Piper Accepted Jason's death and start to set her own life.... Then in the Sun and Star she making another date (wether it is a man or woman) didn't feel so sudden.. I think Rick trying to make her an "I am not like other girl" character.. but ended up making her Arc just like a cheap soal opera about love, making her character a little bit annoying.

Its honest refreshing that adoptation doesn’t try to do everything according to the books. It isn’t perfect but makes you view the series in a different light while still sticking to the story enough that it carries the spirit. I hope the new harry potter tv show takes the same route.

I think making Luke want to recruit Percy instead of killing him was a genius change! It made much more sense. when reading the books, I never understood why Luke would decide to kill Percy so suddenly because he only found out Percy was a son of Poseidon after his claiming, and he seemed really friendly before the whole betrayal thing. So I really don't get how he switched up so suddenly after Percy got claimed. And making Luke more complexed as a character really adds on to his character and honestly makes me more hyped for what'll happen in the next season
