45 is actually closer to the true normal focal length of 43mm so it kinda makes sense. But these days it's a forgotten focal length.
I want to sell my three EF lenses (EF24-70 f2.8L ii, EF85 f1.8, EF50 f1.4) and buy an RF28-70 f2.0L, do you think this is a good idea?
Yeah, I would do this. One of my friends just bought one and has not picked up his 35,50 or 85 since! The RF is just so much snappier than EF lenses adapted + it has so much focal range at an f/2
In this FL, I went with Sigma 40mm f/1.4. Although it is a FF lens, it covers the 44x33mm sensor area comfortably. IQ wise this lens is an absolute marvel - perfectly sharp and contrasty from f/1.4, no CA, very mild and soft bokeh. Build quality is just excellent (full metal body, weather sealed) and price is half of the Fujinon with no penalty in the IQ.

Bloody hell that makes me want to get that lens.... argh.... I have the Tamron 20-40mm F2.8, Tamron 70-180 F2.8 and the Tamron 150-500 but I am very tempted and just replacing the 20-40 F2.8 which this but at the same time I enjoy the 20mm for the odd things but not enough to justify going with this lens.
@@dakunclear I think if you love the 20mm, this may not be the one for you! You could always try renting one!
Amazing! Do you know if it works with Sony's steady shot automatically, or do you need to input the focal length manually to use steady shot? (Particularly when using with the Sony a7IV)
@@christiannikodemus it uses image stabilization, I never had to turn anything on or off. Just worked like any other lens by Sony
That thing is just a sub ohm vape. The liquid for it is more than likely just propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin which is what vape juice is made of. The remote and attachments are the only things that make it somewhat different. More than likely, you need to buy coils for the tank since they will eventually burn out.
@@michaelroyal9375 nice, thanks for watching!
I have zero need for this... but now I want one. lol
@@100mphClub it is really cool tbh
This thing looks pretty cool! I wonder if it would add a cool element to the stuff I shoot in the studio, like flowers and stuff… Great review man.
I rented one a while back and it does A LOT for tight spaces too. Didn't know they had this model, I can already feel the impulse buy building for tomorrow.
The curve one is so you can leave the machine upright, but angle the dry ice (or other) down and then use the remote :)

It's a cool lenses, the 10x price for Leica lens it's like luxury LV, doesn't mean it's 10x better. PS: Can pick your accent, what state you from?
@@forgiveness_denied it’s not 10x better that’s a fact, if it’s better at all. I’m originally from Mississippi
Im in the middle of to buy this sigma 24-70 mark 2 or sony 24-70 GM 2? Can you please suggest me which ones better, is price difference worth? Ty
@@damdai1445 I’d personally go Sigma but I love sigma lenses. I have the G 24-70 and regret purchasing it over the sigma
the 18-35 was my favorite lens ever made and it kept me in the aps-c world waaaay longer because of it. I'll be honest, I'm still torn about getting rid of my smaller, lighter, CHEAPER system. the 18-35, in correllation with the 56mm 1.4 and the 50-150mm 2.8 (all sigma) have proved to be difficult to replace in the full frame world, attempting to not sell my car. lol. I cannot wait to get ahold of this one, and hopefully be able to justify the price.
@@microminstrel are you film making?
@@hunterhart1 Ive been a pro photographer for several years now, but don't shoot a ton of video
@@microminstrel I think if you rented one with a full frame camera, you’d understand the cost. It really is something special
Actually, if you go with full frame, it will be far far lighter. Remember to convert the aperture values accordingly with crop factor. Sony 24-50mm f/2.8 (Sigma 18-35 is a 28-53mm f/2.9 equiv) Sony 85mm f/1.8 (56mm f1.4 = 85mm f2.1) Sony 70-200mm f/4 G OSS (50-150mm f/2.8 = 75-200 f/4.2). Even the mark 1 is still quite good in terms of sharpness. So your current APSC lenses weigh 810g + 280g + 1195g = 2285g vs Full frame 440g + 371g + 840g = 1651g
Your voice is the perfect tone for this demonstration. What an awesome video dude!
@@Maximilan20 thank you so much!!!

Got mine early 2013, around March. TO THIS DAY I use it every week day in the studio with my trusty 24/105L. Around 200 shots a day, some days I broke 1000. I shot thousands of videos, last one being an interview, 2 days ago. Amazingly, it NEVER needed servicing. Best camera ever. I’ve been wanting to go mirrorless for a while, but I have really no reason to retire this amazing camera that I love so much. I’m glad you’re enjoying it as well.
Except it only replaces 35mm prime.
@@frankfeng2701 and 28mm
The sound to value you get with the H1N is pretty insane. Even though it's like 10 (or more?) years old, this is definitley a case of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'.

Nice lens! There is also one for us Fuji users, but that version doesnt make much sense unfortunately. Overpriced and honestly not that good. Similiar to Voigtländer it makes more sense for you Leica guys due to prices of Leica stuff
@@venom2k2 yeah I mention that there’s one for Fuji in the video. I think having the crop sensor kind of creates a strange focal length around 40mm for this lens. But a lot of people adapt Leica glass to Fuji so 🤷🏽. Works well on the Sony for sure.
@@venom2k2 thanks for watching by the way
Great review. Does the lens flare ? 😀
Great question, it does not actually. I kind of wish it did, I like a good flare but they did a good job of controlling it. The only character I’d say it has is the background separation due to those 14 aperture blades. I’ve never seen so many in a lens.
Thanks for watching!
I would never touch a lens of a Chinese make because those companies have produced look-a-likes in the past. Also they have no heritage in photography.
