    Thanx Rory for this specific details! I m practicing Vedic Meditation for nearly one year and still excited about the power of the pure consciousness within (; still a long way to go but at least the here and now is worthy to receive fully with this ancient technique~would call it a technology Jah guide from within

    it's as effortless as bringing up a thought from silence. and when you switch from thought to thought, that's also effortless. like recalling a memory. that's how the mantra should be. like recalling a memory. even setting an intent can trigger the mantra to begin.

    Is Vedic meditation expensive to learn...I was going to try TM but it was 1500$ here in Toronto. Someone mentioned to try Vedic

      It depends on the teacher - many in North America offer a sliding scale payment system with lower rate tiers. I don't think there are any Vedic teachers in Toronto right now though. NYC may be the closest option 🙏

    The anxiety is usually worrying about how I’m damaging my body - increasing blood pressure, liver, brain, etc. I’m working on my hangover; now on my 3rd listen. Thank You for the assistance 😊

    In such presentations, two components are mentioned: 1. The mantra, and 2. How to use the mantra. However, there's a necessary third ingredient: SHAKTI, the primal energy of the universe that allows the mind to Transcend thought and tap into pure Consciousness, Sat-Chit-Ananda. In addition to TM, access the following: "Mahamritunjaya mantra - Sacred Sound Choir", showing the pic of Anandamayi-Ma; Also, "Om Namah Shivaya - Shivananda Adi". Listen to each for 5 min per day for 2 weeks at least and enjoy the Bliss. It's all due to Shakti, the source of Bliss (Ananda).

    I never comment on CZcams, but this video had a great impact on me. I don’t meditate and I’ve been struggling with crippling hangxiety spells sometimes after drinking less than I normally would. My feelings are so intense that it’s kept me from drinking for months at a time, but whenever I do eventually drink I pay for it the next day(s). I thought I was on my own and had no real way to help myself. Today I woke up after getting far too drunk and nearly ruining my marriage. I needed to do something to take the edge off. I didn’t think it would do anything. I feel much better now and all of my intrusive thoughts were addressed. Thank you for this.

    Good suggestions. I do TM and have had these issues with “HOW” exactly to think the mantra and have it remain effortless. I find it is a VERY subtle technique. Less is more definitely. Any forcing seems to elicit mental tension. It is so simple but so powerful and very difficult to explain and easy to get wrong. I learned TM 50 years ago. One should probably just pay the, rather excessive fee to learn it from an authentic teacher if you want to get it right. It’s NOT just repeating a mantra. I’ve often wondered if there is something supernatural or “magical” about the initiation process with the ceremony…like, are Higher Beings involved in some way. I never really have understood how it works, just that it does. Different than any other meditation techniques i have tried over the years. I’m not a fan of the TM organization either. It is a strange cult from what my research has revealed. Still, i do the meditation twice a day and don’t subscribe to any belief system other than my own intuition and critical thinking.

    Today I am experiencing the worst hangover. I went too crazy and have no idea what happened. My brain was telling me all the things I could have done but know I didn’t. I just over did it and it’s okay, lesson learnt. This meditation helps a lot.
