The spiritual precurser to Dekaranger.
Wonderful, what a superb track, thanks BBB
One of GL's best film albums, superb stuff, thanks for posting B3
Yes I managed to get the Vocalion cd with both his Western albums on, and it was not cheap. Cheers Paul.
@@bondbrookebond Shame the 3rd volume didn't get the V treatment, although to be fair it is the weakest of the series
Outstanding BBB
Lyrics- I am a man in the prime of my life, I got a house, and a car, and a beautiful wife, There’s no chip on my shoulder-I’ve no axe to grind, No possible reason to wake up mind, And the days break-and the night fall and drift into time, Somewhere there’s hunger-and somewhere there’s war, But I can do nothing-so I’ll just ignore, The cruelty around me-pretending I’m blind, In case I start thinking-and wake up my mind, And the days break-and the nights fall and drift into time, It seems as the fortune has smiled upon me, But now it’s too late-I’m beginning to see, I’ve spent my life searching-but no peace I find, And it’s left me with no time to wake up my mind, And the days break-and the nights fall and drift into time, And the days break-and the nights fall and drift into time.
OMG.....do i remember this show......a young kid then now 66
Not one of his more noteworthy efforts.
This first clip was on the second CD OST release from a few years ago… Blew me away. It gave a a nostalgic feeling even though it was the first time I heard it. And it also got me thinking, the second unused clip was put in the Traitor for a London Car Vu flashback which means that the first one was completely rejected, presumably by Gerry. I was thinking it definitely woulda given the pilot a different tone if that was used and I’m thinking maybe either because it was a tad too sentimental and hit a bit to hard emotionally rather than military, maybe making us empathise too much with Scarlet when Blue is supposed to be the hero and clone Scarlet isn’t to be revealed as more than a threat,…or that it sounded too much like a western when Gerry wanted the association between cowboys and spectrum agents to be more subtle, or want it to be dated to the cowboy era. It seems the second clip Barry tried to rework the piece to take out what Gerry didn’t want and he still didn’t want it for the pilot which inspired my musings . When it drops in the Traitor it definitely feels like the Hero’s origin story, which I mentioned I don’t think Gerry wanted for the pilot. I wonder if anyone actually knows the story on that? 😁
What a tune and so catchy
I think Network were planning to release some of the Love Story's on DVD before they sadly collapsed
Great arrangement and also love the artwork BBB, where does that come from ?
Loved it, thanks B3
Nice to hear something different, that guitar sound was a surprise but really liked it
Thanks BBB, another excellent theme from LS
Superb
A great series!
I sympathise with David Vincent. I am convinced that my next door neighbour is an alien but no one will listen!!!!!! 👽
They probably come from the same galaxy my neighbors 2 doors up come from, sadly they have made their home on this planet with no hope of them ever phoning home. 👾
The background to a countless number of lift-shaft ascents, to infinity and beyond.
watching it now
This is absolutely brilliant. I have been saying for a long time that the two Jeff Lynne ELO albums are actually better than they first seem. ALL the songs are as good as the songs he has written in the past ( A considerable achievement in later years) , but it is not apparent on first listening. I felt that what was missing was the orchestration and production that went into previous ELO albums. He has done what a lot of latter year singers do and produced it all himself at home. Add the production and you have two more brilliant albums. This proves it. Can we have more please
I love this song i sometimes sit and listen to this on my own i have being to prison a lot of years and this is very true beautiful
My favourite old skool TV shows themes. The six million dollar man. Mission impossible SWAT Hawaii Five-0
beautiful
As a boy, always loved this intro to the TV show. I came from the era of theme music... Bro gotta have a theme song.
Aww bless him ❤❤❤
Pity the series didn't last very long. One series in 1983, then a Christmas special in 84. Could have been the Beeb's answer to Minder. Joe Brown is one of the greats.
Totally agree. Loved this show as a teenager back then. Had it recorded on vhs and watched it over and over.
Cellar club theme up tempo slightly ,still sounds good
Oh, been looking for this for a while...
ken barrie's accent
How did you get that?! Have you got any more scores from the series?
Have it on cd for a while now, will put more selections up soon.
Yes I like this song it is good to listen to if you have been to prison or borstal or young offenders prisons and sit a lone and listen to this song quietly 👌👍🍺
One half expects to hear David Allan at the end saying, "And now with the weather for farmers for the week ahead, here's Michael Fish."
Excellent Ms Bond! I love when the original score cues are made available. Also great background info as usual. Have a great weekend!
Episodes of 'Shoulder to Shoulder' are available to view on CZcams.
The greatest.
Blimey just found this. Where did you get it?
Had it years, got it I think off discogs.
I used to own a demo single of Sweeney 2, by Tony Hatch. I picked it up in a record shop in Southend in 1979. I gave all my singles to a bloody charity shop.
Oh no!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
This rocks!
"And if your Dad is trying to hide, the fact he's going bald" Funny because Maldwyn Pope himself actually went bald
