We do explain the option of installing from top to bottom here also. Our tiles have the added advantage against metal lightweight tiles as they can be walked on during installation. Hello There! - The roofer staggered the horizontal overlaps, to stop the roof tiles overlapping at the same spot, this stops the Tiles from building up additional thickness, which could prevent the tiles from sitting on the next batten. @@lightweighttilesltd9579 Ok fair enough so what youre saying is the battens ( lets say 100kg to be conservative) & tiles at 6kg a metre is less than when it snows?

Ok thanks.....just a thought though,when it does snow youve got the extra weight plus the snow..........if the original roof was polycarbonate it would be a lot lighter , theres a lot of weight up there already with the glass before you start adding to it,i doubt insurance would pay out in the event of a collapsed roof ..... thanks anyway

@@yewchewb67 thanks again for sharing your concern. The extra weight of snow will have been factored into the Mechanical Engineer's calculations. You are correct in that a large proportion of conservatories have Polycarbonate Roofs. They would therefore be lighter than the glass roof on this one. With regards to your point regarding insurance, we think this is very important. We would recommend gaining expert advice if there is any doubt.

@@lightweighttilesltd9579 I do know m8 I’m a roofer from the uk, I know yours is a plastic tile but I thought nibblers was for concrete tiles. But I do understand now you get a metal nibbler for metal tiles, a bit like for a the Metro tile as I have just use only the hand cutters for them
