Wish doctors did this type of testing and insurance paid for it as well as the long list of supplements!
Did Dr. Millman said at at the end that she would be sending coupons to those in this group. Is that for her on-line program? If so, how may i obtain one please? Thank you!
Any thoughts on the onero online program? confused if regular exercise does not improve bone ,why is this offered? I don't believe it is heavy weights.
Please come to NH!
Wish this was widely available in the US. Why isn't this offered at every hospital in the US?!!!!
All bisphosphonates deplete the body of coenzyme Q and can cause severe muscle and joint pain . I had severe bilateral quadriceps pain after my second round of Reclast. Once i found out why i was having the pain I needed 300mg mg of coenzyme Q to resolve the symptoms. Remember your nutrition needs to be goodfor these drugs to work. Need calcium, vitamin D vitamin k2, magnesium and boron. Good luck everyone.
I listened to the whole video and it was very good, however very discouraging to hear none of the exercises I've been doing have provided any benefit, not sure I agree. I sure am exhausted after my work outs. And then you didn't provide any examples of what is good?! We can't all afford expensive programs or personal trainers, but I can teach myself
look up onero online. There's an online program that is insanely inexpensive she's practically doing a community service.
Please bring Onero to Orange County, California!
Wonderful interview. Thankyou 😮
Actual talk starts at 9.23
So women in the US with osteoporosis are not being treated by doctors but by insurance companies who determine which medicine to take? And oncologists don’t understand bone loss treatment as an issue when a person is taking cancer drugs? And dentists don’t understand how osteo treatments work? Gee … and we are supposed to put ourselves in their care? I do think that a doctor is treating osteo properly if they do as this doctor does with the use of the bone turnover markers to determine the effectiveness of treatment rather than wait for 2 years to get a dexa result and say, oh my, the density is not improving. It’s honestly despairing listening to all the “experts” talking about treatment and not talking about prevention. Women must be sup[ported at the very least in peri-menopause to check bone density and then do dietary and exercise geared towards bone improvement.
Hi : from what I have read on osteoporosis there is no board certification for this medical issue.Noone medical specialty assumes responsibility for osteoporosis- sometimes it's a primary care , sometimes ob/gym, sometimes orthopedist. Good luck , also most docs don't use the blood markers which can tell you earlier than the dexa scan how you are responding to treatment. He is talking about rebound bone loss when you stop prolia cold. Prolia shuts down your osteoclasts temporarily and when you stop it the osteoclasts go into overdrive for awhile and have accelerated bone loss. So then you need 6 months of a bisphosphonate to control this accelerated bone breakdown.
This is an excellent program. I have been doing it in Queensland, Australia. It needs to be correctly accessible to everyone in the world. There is too much information given online which is not backed up by such intense studies as yours. So many people know of and refer to your Liftmore studies and promote their own interpretation of it. This would be very dangerous and give false hope. Thank-you for explaining it so well Belinda.
Could you please make a video on the exercises you encourage. That would be great to show my trainer at the gym. As in the UK we have nothing like this, only medication 😢. I want to increase my Bone density by natural. Thank you ❤
Yes I also want to know more about the exercises in the program! 👍
Margaret Martin recommends Marodyne LIV and I trust her explicitly. Dont know which Professor Beck used.
Please, Please start a bone clinic in the UK. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I look forward of having a bone clinic in Melbourne. Thank you for your research and presentation. I am doing pre-onero now and once ok, i will be join the Onero program with the onero accredited physio. My question is, how much weight to lift in order to increase bmd ? If I am 60kg.
I couldn't watch it because of the disjointed interview. 2 min intro and let the guy speak . Needs nothing else. Poor interview skills.
So far I have been unable to find a plant-based beverage which does not qualify as an Ultra-Processed Food (UPF) on the NOVA scale developed in Brazil. At some point OsteoBoston will have to address UPFs, metabolic health, and the role of nutrition in bone health. I will continue to listen to your YT channel and learn…
To what extent, if any, do you believe diet/nutrition plays a role in bone health? 🤔
if you look it up, you'll find diet as important as exercise: stay away from alcohol, fizzy drinks that contain phosphoric acid (usually cola) ,very salty foods, large amounts of caffeine, sugar, high fat diets and processed food. These foods either leach calcium and minerals from the bones or inhibit absorption of essential bone minerals. Increase green veggies, fresh fruit (some people swear by prunes for the boron they contain) get adequate protein, and try to get your calcium from food, rather than supplements, and try to eat foods high in Vitamin D or supplement with Vit D if you don't eat foods high in it (get your levels tested). Basically, the same dietary advice for anyone wanting to improve their health whether it be for weight loss or general health or osteoporosis, the message is always the same: more natural unprocessed food, least processed food, though for osteoporosis more attention needs to be paid to avoiding some foods and increasing others. Supplements is another subject in its own right, also worth exploring. HTH
Please shorten the introduction. IMHO, it was too long. We’re here to hear Dr McCormick speak.
I really appreciated seeing this formal presentation by Belinda. I am undertaking the Onero program with an Onero accredited practioner and can vouch that supervision is really important. I’d really love to actually attend the Brisbane bone clinic though, but that’s not possible. I think the diet overview would be helpful but isn’t offered by the accredited practioners. I agree with Belinda about the exercises promoted as “bone building” with some sites still claiming that walking will build bone. It’s also important to realise that every exercise you do does not HAVE to be about building bone - it can be cardio, strength and mobility, but at least two sessions per week of HIIT is needed to get an effect for bone. Thank you Belinda for your persistence on improving outcomes for people with osteoporosis.
Awesome presentation; thank you!
What about Forteo, and HRT at the same time, with resistance and impact training. Then just remove Forteo at the appropriate time? How much of a decrease would be seen??

I bought your book. But now I feel disappointment because you do not talk about very serious side effects of those medications. I thought you were not advocate of meds.
Very interesting but not feasible at all . Doctors will not take time to do that. Nor even discuss it with you.
Great!
I enjoy your presentations but PLEASE buy a better microphone.

I dont believe I have such bad osteoporosis. When can the R.E.M.S be available to New Yorkers? I heard a tall thin spine reads as worse for osteo on dexascan. So interested I don’t want to take drugs! I’m WFPB vegan so healthy diet exercise and strength training.
This was great. I am sorry I could not attend that evening, I had to watch my grandson. Thank you
Is it possible to make an appt with you for my osteoporosis? I live in Nebraska but willing to travel to get a 2nd opinion. Or is there a Dr you can recommend in my area? Thank you!
This is the sad fact that I am glad he said “we are doing a horrible job in the treating and dealing with osteoporosis “ Shocking really
This was very informative, thank you very much! I was diagnosed with osteoporosis 6 months ago. Im 54, went through menopause at age 40. Wishing someone would've advised me to start HRT. My Dr. at UNMC wants to start me on Forteo, my t -score is -3.2. Do you think this sounds like a reasonable treatment? Im a very fit, active, 120 pound fitness instructor, so needless to say I was shocked when I got this diagnoses. They did all the bloodwork to rule out other possible causes. Have you by chance heard of the REMS Echolight scan?
we just had a program in Boston for Dr Zambito and Bush. They speak on a OsteoBoston video in April- look back at the CZcams channel. I wish I had time to respond to everyone’s messages. but I will say I know it’s disappointing and hopefully you can learn some valuable ideas so that you can steward your progress in the way that you see fit. I wish you the best.
Check out Dr Doug Lucas program. Binge watch his CZcams. Optimal Bone Health.

Zometa infusions 3 infusions each for 3 years
Hello curious in the Book 📖 is there information on a person who has had Hyperparathyroidism? People like us deal with Osteoporosis from a tumor . Thank you
I see you now. Sorry
What about zometa infusions. I haven't heard that mentioned. I was offered that after trying 3 years 6 infusions. Now after 7 yrs taking anastrozole + calcium vit D3, osteoporosis has worsened. Dr says I need to retake zometa infusions for 3 years with 3 infusions over once a year.
Excellent.
How do you safely get off of bisphosphonate alendronate sodium?
Gee ... I wish all doctors would do these complete workups for women. I'm pretty distressed about how the medical world treat mature women. I have osteoporosis and am angry that I was never given a chance to have HRT in the time frame it would have been helpful. Now I'm faced with drugs. I want my osteo treatment to address as many contributing factors as possible to give my bones the best chance. My doctor "doesn't bother with bone turnover markers" !!
Thank you to the Doctor She’s the best I ever heard on a teaching all off us to eat better for our bones Thank you so much to both of you for the love you show Thank you 🙏 ❤

If I do an ‘Epson salt’ soak daily in the bathtub…will I get magnesium through the system
I have been trying to make an appointment for a REMS scan, in Wayne New Jersey. They do not respond to voicemails, nor do they answer the phone. Please please where else can we get that scan near NYC?
Dr Zambito is in PA. Dr Bush is in North Carolina. Google their contact info-
I live in Monmouth Cty, NJ so considered going to the Wayne facility, but realized Dr. Zambito's office in Newtown, PA was actually a bit closer for me. Plus, the facility in Wayne seems to really push a lot of other things - like supplements, osteoporosis plans, etc - which to me, is a total turn-off.
