We are a small leather shop in downtown Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and in 2022 we celebrated our 31st anniversary as a brick and mortar store on King Street. We specialize in custom leatherwork and sell everything to tackle leatherwork as a hobby. With over 50 years of hands-on leatherworking experience, we're here to help you find exactly what you need.

This video shows you the basics of slicking edges on vegetable tanned leather. As mentioned in the comments on the video, chrome tanned leather edges will not burnish. How to Sharpen an Edge Beveler in 1 Minute!

We've sharpened many an edge beveler in our day, and this video will give you quick and easy results! We're using a small metal dowel that fits the underside of the edge beveler (often a coat hanger wire works well), and some 400-600 grit sandpaper. Tap Beveling versus Swivel Beveling
