Wow, the matchmaking is really wonky. I have over 1k wins and I’m playing people that have sub 100 wins. Even played a literally brand new player with 20 wins. It’s not fun to beat people that provide 0 resistance.

They didn't nerf marvin they buffer him. Projectiles he bubbles last longer in the bubble. They fixed the weird giant bubble that never hit anything now itll actually work properly. And they just shortened the time jab projectile stays out which us is fair cuz that move was kinda crazy bouncing on the stage forever. Marvin is one of the best doubles characters because he counters the top tiers like wonder woman and bugs etc. He basically counters the Meta of the game.

good bugs is so OP for spammers bro spam the safe and the spins THANK GOD they nerfed that shit, sure batman has the down air but the spin can it you on either side batman’s down air has to be pretty accurate

Maybe it's a skill issue for me but when I play against Marvin he uses his down normal to punish me for approaching horizontally and if I approach vertically he uses his up normal to punish me. I haven't seen other people complain but whenever I play against him it's almost impossible to close the distance and if I do I either get jabbed and knocked back or he just dodges away. Also the fact that Finn only got buffs when he's one of the best characters in the game is wild.

The change they made to lebrons grounded down tilt was really a nerf in disguise, it used to send people out more than up so it was a pretty terrible angle to recover from if you got hit by it at ledge. I also like using it as a sort of get off me tool but now it doesn't send people as far out as it used to, they probably fluffed up the numbers to compensate for it but i definitely like the move a little less now which is sad

I’m ngl bro. I would consider myself a good player- I don’t often get humiliated, but I came across this one godly Marvin online… ruined me. So glad he got nerfed. I think A LOT of people were sleeping on Marvin- including myself. I beat every other Marvin I came across tho. They had no idea what they were doing.

Nah void bro they gutted bugs. The thing about bugs was he was oppressive with his nair, and really only his nair. None of his other moves are all that oppressive or lead into kills all that consistently. Since people have learned how to DI nothing is all that confirmed anymore, even when bugs had his strong nair. So now that he doesnt, he doesnt have any reliable combo pathways. Nair up air is DI'd out of easily. Also safe if destroyed by bugs' hits too, so safe cannot last very long at all on the map. Its rly no longer oppressive like at all. Bugs before nerf was easy to counter if you could keep him from setting up his nair. Now that he doesnt have it, hes always easy to counter and oppress
