Lovely. ❤️
Most beautiful tune ever
I’d love to hear Bonnie Paine cover this with GAS singing backup.
Charlie I have not been moved by someone's music in a long time, but u have moved me, thank you sir
This one right here, officer
?
This was the first time I ever heard Gregory Alan Isakov, now I’m a fan for life. God Bless the man and his music ❤️
One of the most beautifully written songs ever made
Unbelievable!
Heaven
This version reminds me of the show “Over the Garden wall” mostly since the saw instrument is used in a lot of the show’s soundtrack
Yes! OTGW and Gregory Alan Isakov's music have a similar feeling to them :)
Great cover. Probably my favorite version.
Met Paul in Glasgow a very long time ago whilst he was with Kelly Joe Phelps…only happy to sign my CD, cracked jokes, had a beer…Top Top guy and very talented.
As raw as it gets! Just fuckin superb Charlie Ty
There's someone out there, Out in the snow I think that I knew her, long time ago Homemade outfit, frayed cap and gloves She is a monument, a tribute cause. (CHORUS) It must be a bus stop, there through the snow The wind whips right through her thin winter coat (Mm-hmm) She pulls a cart behind her, there are tracks in the snow That lead to her possessions, tied up just so. I know that I knew her, but I can't say how. Long time before anyway, the way she is now. There's someone out there, but I can't make her out Salvation Army shoes on, sole all walked out. I know that I knew her, we were in love. Long time gone anyhow, there comes the bus (CHORUS) Crowd pushes past her, no one looks twice She looks through her window, and I catch her eye She doesn't know me, She looks away. The bus slowly disappears through the snowy haze
Why do you present yourself as a bum when you clearly are a major talent?
Amazing piece! Lol, nowadays it’s “Going to work in my bedroom.”
I’m becoming a fan of you Charlie Love your tunes!
Dat’s good 😌 stuff dere 😊🎼🎧
Damn that’s beautiful 🤩.
keep on coming back
I wish he would’ve come out with this as a released song on other platforms <3
This song goes on the ugly cry playlist.
Charlie, this is awesome! You need to do more slow ballads like this! Great filming, too!
America! Pay way more attention to Charlie than to some of your Opry stars!!! This man is real!. Saw him in Australia a few years ago and I swear to those not paying attention they may have thought he was a roadie tuning up. But then he played and sang and the crowd was awed. Such an amazing concert. As the concert progressed he almost became one with his guitar. Sometimes reality plays 2nd fiddle to "showmanship" but only if we let it. Please don't let it! Charlie is the real deal!
The only version I will accept.
10 years later. I’m back here ❤️
Beautiful.
Amazing version. Kudos 👌
I'm going to sing this for her.

Nice Chris liked your cover
I turned 30 last year and decided to quit a job I was making a lot of money in and travel Colombia, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I learned a lot about myself in many ways, and I learned how to sing and play guitar.. now im going back to Colombia to finish what I started.
I wish you the best of luck!
Sad but so calm
Had the pleasure of seeing Isakov live last night in Sandpoint, Idaho where he played this song. My wife & I hadn’t heard it before and we absolutely loved it. We thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed his entire concert. What a talented musical storyteller. His music always transports me to my happy place.
Amazing. This song is really difficult. I'll keep practicing 👈
Fookn awesome...been searching for that for a long time...THANK YOU!!!!
Sometimes less is more
The best artist of the 21st century.
Some day my babe I am a man
This is amazing! His voice is tremendous. Max Gomez also does a good cover of this song
GAI knows how construct the perfect cover. His own songs are fantastic as well. This Empty Northern Hemisphere is a masterpiece album
Someday my baby, when I am a man And others have taught me The best that they can They'll sell me a suit They’ll cut off my hair And send me to work in tall buildings So it's goodbye to the sunshine Goodbye to the dew Goodbye to the flowers And goodbye to you I'm off to the subway I must not be late I’m going to work in tall buildings When I’m retired My life is my own I made all the payments It's time to go home And wonder what happened Betwixt and between When I went to work in tall buildings So it's goodbye to the sunshine Goodbye to the dew Goodbye to the flowers And goodbye to you I'm off to the subway I must not be late I’m going to work in tall buildings Play In Tall Buildings Written by John Hartford
I had never seen someone play a washboard until Bonnie when she was with Elephant Revival. She is so talented.
