Overall everything was easy to install, no cutting or welding required when using this y-pipe and axle back together. Really woke the car up, no better feeling than a new exhaust system!

Chambered cat back exhaust from highflo performance. Awesome deep sound, video doesn’t do it justice. Fitment was great. Hardest part about install was breaking the rusty factory bolt on the catalytic converter flange and trying to get it out. once that was accomplished, the system went on super quick and easy. old 228r cam, stock 241 heads, stock ls6 intake, 200 shot using nitrous outlet plate, stock 10 bolt with aftermarket 3:73 gears, built t56, racestar drag wheels (275/60r15 et radial pros) headers and 4 inch spintech exhaust. car dynoed at 618hp and 718 tq on the bottle. mph was bad because the ls7 clutch was slipping bad on the top end and pedal was sticking to the floor. previous run was 106mp...

F.Y.I. My hand stays on the shifter because my nitrous button is on it and i have to hold it down. First pull i launched on a 150 shot and the car immediately spun and after my dad stopped yelling you can see it hook up and throw him back in the seat hahaha. i got yelled at for a while after but it was worth it.

Just got this race star drag pack 15x10 rears with 275/60r15 MT radial pros and 17x4.5 front skinnies and a 26x6r17 tire MT sportsmans. The car is lowered too much in the back so when I hit a bump the back tires rub the outer fender lip so I need to raise my car an inch in the rear or roll the fender or something but they don't rub on the calipers anymore. Texas speed longtubes into a catted Y-pipe then a single dynomax race bullet muffler going out the back. It has a nice low rumble at idle not raspy and loud like other exhaust systems but when you get past 4500 rpms or WOT it screams!

What’d you need for a cam? Can you run it with no tune?
Do you have stock stiffness springs? I’d wager that if you put extra stiff springs in the rear that it won’t hit anymore.
How bad did It drone? Have almost same set up with flowmasters a day drones bad! Bought a pair of the 250s and see there's nothing to them and worried it will drone just as bad. How were they for you? Thanks

it runs without a tune ?
barely! it idles alright when warm in park/neutral but once you put it in drive you got to have one foot on the gas and one on the brake and give it some rpms when coming to a stop or sitting at a stop light to keep the engine from dying. it wants to idle real low when its in gear because the engine is under more load. when they tune it, they will set the idle higher to keep that from happening among lots of other things. not recommended to drive it very far or aggressively without a tune, but ive putted around town with a couple of my trucks before a tune and had no problems.

Wired mine the same way. I have it sent to 3500rpm but the problem I’m running into is my truck starts doing a burnout at 1500rpm.

man i totaled this truck about 2 years ago. i got a 2002 z28 now that im building into an x275 car, its really top notch. im not able to make any videos because i’m in the army and away from home constantly but once im out and the car is done ill be making a ton of content.

Great video, Question? I own a 08 silverado 1500 with ly6 6.0 stage2 cam but no stall, do I need to install the stall prior to get the 2step?
no you can put it on with a stock stall no problem. just gonna be limited by what your converter stalls to in gear. in neutral you can set it as high as you want if your just trying to show off.
