"The Big One" Goodguys Columbus, OH 2024
Many people call Columbus on the Goodguys show circuit "The Big One" for good reason. It's typically the biggest event they put on throughout the year however Des Moines might have something to say about that. Regardless of the number of vehicles, Columbus always brings out the heavy hitters in regards to car builds. If you're your looking for video on such vehicles then I regret to inform you but this video is not it. This video will primarily be vehicles rolling in and cruising with some autocross mixed in. Nonetheless, if you like the sounds of healthy V8's cruising than this is the video for you. Enjoy

Nothing better than cruising your Hot Rod through great back roads, and establishments that welcome hot rodders. Got a 93 150, I’m 81 disabled vet, building a 347, top loader, taller Yukon gears, Vic front, my last build, grocery gitter with attitude. Your truck is sweet, engine? Sounds Coyote. Going for tangerine pearl with a little black cherry.
With the irs swap what was the fender lip height to ground ....and rim tire size?
I'm building a 65 Falcon now looks a lot like yours you give me hope to keep building it beautiful car great job

It's beautiful, what a great build. The only thing I dislike about it are the wheels. Torque Thrusts in gray would be about perfect on this build. Other than that it's a great car.

Awesome professional vid. I have a variety of v8s10s short stand trucks that range from 450 - 1800 HP. That frame to cage is key! Winters IRS is the best I found with lead balast along w/ twin 88s an dry sumpoil and cool system in the bed. For a 3000 gvw. Enjoy the happy times

I see all the good stuff from back in the day, I'm 84 soon to bw 85, had a 40 Ford panel truck with a 3/8x3/8 flat head , 3 Stromberg 48 carbs, Edelbrock heads and manifold, spagiti exhaust, Cong ignition dual coil, Lasal box, Haibrant quickchange with 411 gears, Bendix fuel pump and so on in 1957. Plus a 3" dropped axle Vamps and reverse 15" rims and my pin striping.
This is definitely one of the best cruises I’ve been a part of. Sounds like you would’ve fit right in
I am 14 and looking to build one of these hot rods. I like it 40s style none of the over the top ornamentation or the rat Fink ecs just a bunch of teens building a fast car because it is fun the only style it has is the one that you did yourself with a paint brush and a idea. Sadly I might never be able to build a rod because of how expensive the cars are, not even getting into the mods. I would spend 2 maybe $3000 on one but that is not possible in todays age. It costs at a minimum $5000 for the car, then another $10000 for the repairs and mods. I will only have about $20,000 by the time I am 18 and that money would probably be better spent on a Daly driver to get me to my job Ecs. I am not sure but i herd somewhere that it used to cost $800 bucks for one of them 1932 model B jalopies what I would give to be born in the 1940s. Any chance you have any advice for a beginner in hot rod building? Nice to see that some of the original rodders are still around. I hope life treats you well.
