The ideas i have left....good grief. But I write them down and come back to them and, am impressed with how good they are. Implemented one (because you have to lazer focus on one) and boom...opportunity just unveils. My small business just started to grow. Being receptive to follow up was a big thing. I had to show my mini business love. Show myself love. It became so much fun.

I love seeing your elegance and completely agree with the message given in this video. My husband and I live a very simple life style in the Virginia country side. However, we love enjoying our hard earned money at the best restaurants, hotels and cloth stores. We also enjoy giving nice gifts and financial help to the ones deserving them. As you said, luxury is a mindset and the appreciation of quality can fit in any budget.

Thanks so much for making this video, giving clear distinction between major corporate strategies and small businesses. I’m a private art dealer and I often struggle with the fact that the demand is higher than what I’m able to produce so a lot of the typical luxury marketing advice has so much to do with scale and outreach where as I’m really trying hard to just focus on customer experience and ensuring that the people on my client list feel like they are getting an exclusive luxury experience.

I get the usual advice like social media marketing, Etsy…so forth. The time and quality of the product and materials, skills and passion would not justify the means. I grew up with similar ideas of luxury. Grew up in a family of crafts people (seamstresses, upholsterers, carpenters etc)who would service luxury-minded clients and it opened our minds to those experiences. Never saw luxury with negative connotation but I was hesitant to label my business as such because I came to see that contrarily most people do find it to be a negative thing. I’ve since gotten over that and accept my business for what it is - luxurious lol

The simple act of starting to accumulate advantages, no matter how small, can interrupt a pattern or loop or spiral of accumulating disadvantages (failures).
Thank you, Amanda. The one thought I have about your comment is that disadvantages are not necessarily failures. They are situations that require you to shift thinking, behavior, and often direction. In most cases, you have underestimated the amount of focus and effort required to see indisputable success. Patterns and even a spiral of unfavorable circumstances can be immediately reversed by putting blinders on and focusing on things that matter whether it is reps in the gym, words on a page, new prospects on a call list, or attracting small clients consistently. Those advantages will add up and turn into strength and big advantages, and if you continue, long-term success! Be Luxury!

Omg this is so freeing. Being rich in skill is so important to acknowledge. I've been doing brand identity design for a long time and found it hard to charge the rates I know I should be charging. Hopefully I can break out of the scarcity mindset.
