I did a handful of times but the routes I’ve been doing it isn’t much of a need.

I launch from many places. As long as I can find a parking spot and don’t disturb anyone there’s plenty of little spots to launch down side streets off beaches etc..

The best thing you can do is start conquering sections, earlier in year look in the back of the bay for deeper areas. Later in season they are everywhere. The more time you spend out there dividing sections the better you’ll understand and learn movements.

Yes you can launch kayak from there, there is a couple spots down the balboa peninsula side past the pier with parking in between the houses. Another solid spot for kayak launch is the coast guard entrance on bayside if you have wheels for it at that beach.

There’s some parking spots and launch beaches in between some houses down past the pier down the balboa peninsula island side.

After re-watching this after along time I couldn’t agree more lol.

Canyon Lake in the Inland Empire. Private lake but a buddy gets me in on his guest pass. Very nice spot and a blessing to even fish there.

Catfish absolutely. If you’re searching for Trout most likely not. If you’re looking for holdovers best bet would be Santa Ana River lakes or Hesperia but I wouldn’t say it’s promising. Up north is where the trout are booming now.
