Some nice keepers today. Red olympic ring and aboriginal services were in great condition. Repatriation coins don't turn up down here in s a.

G'day Dan, a nice variety of finds, my top 3 picks go to the NIFC 2016 20c, the 2016 Rio red ring and the 2019 Repatriation coin, very hard to find for some reason, special mention for the Peacekeeping & Indigenous Military coins, I had a lean hunt this week, my 2 best finds were a Frontline Workers & a Rio blue ring, I also manged to pick up week 1 & surprisingly week 3 Olympic coins from Woollies. Gday PeterJ, a good score with the Frontline mate, they are very hard to find up here and I hope it was in good condition for you. Had a very good couple of weeks but with Prossy and Armaguard merging we are actually getting both types of rolls so might be some older stuff coming through. That said I noodled 350 of $2 today and got 2 x the new $2 coin from woolies and that only came out just over a week ago. Not sure what the turn around time on repackaging coins is but I didn't think it was that quick. Have a great weekend mate, cheers Dan.

G'day Dan, I agree with your assessment and comparison with the Commonwealth games coins, I have picked a few loose coins from Woollies and the carded Olympic & Paralympic coins from Aussie Post, personally I think the carded versions make a world of difference, a great little video. A whole heap ? My Woolworths only lets people get 5 per transaction , that’s plenty to go round if people aren’t greedy .

G'day eventhusist, The Woolies stores are only supposed to let out the coins in change and a max of 5, this should still be heaps and the self serve checkouts should also get some but they might take a while to filter through, release dates are every 2 weeks so with the 4 coins you are still looking at a long release period, cheers Dan.

G'day Dan, a nice spread of coins, I like the 10c changeovers, hard to find these days, a couple of $2 keepers with Blackboard & Eternal Flame, disappointing about the damage to the Green Dove, I took my first look at the 2024 Olympic coins on line today, at first glance they didn't look very inspiring, they reminded me of the Comm Games A, U & S coins, I suspect they will deteriorate quickly like all previous releases through Woollies, thanks for sharing your finds. G'day Michael, it's such a shame but if everyone put them away, then we would never see them so the tarnish and damage are a sad part of collecting, I do see a lot of coins come in that probably have been dug out of a well-used ash tray or bottom of a toolbox. A couple of months back I actually had to dump a half dozen 50 cent pieces as they were so tarnished black and pitted that the Self Serve wouldn't take them and I didn't want them jamming up the machines. Interesting to hear the $2 Charlie is popping up. I have not seen any in s a yet. I am finding a lot of dirty or marked coins as well. I found 4 changeover $1 in the last couple of weeks all marked or dirty. Just got to keep looking .

Hey Dan, What an impressive video. These coins are out there, it just takes a bit of real circulation and they get around in the system to those people who are looking for them. I do cull my circulated coins every year and let some of the older coins back into the wild to be enjoyed by others in the community. I think it has given me an idea for later in the year. Thanks for sharing this experience.

I reckon I'll have to do a few more of these video's as if and when the next batch comes in. It was a huge stack of Federation and Indigenous Languages coins, but it was such a shame to see that they were all in average to bad condition. G'day Phil, good quantity, but as you pointed out not great quality. When I first started showing off what I found I only used the mint release and didn't bother showing what we had released at woolies. Now to create a decent video I'm keeping it all. Also most now goes back to the Suncorp coin machine in Gympie so I don't have it repeatedly showing up at work. Hope you're well and keep up the grind mate, cheers Dan.

G'day Dan, good to see that you are still picking up a variety of $2 coloured coins plus the RAM Invictus Games coin, for me this is a very well designed non coloured coin which is always a keeper, I also can't go past the desirable corporate Mr Squiggle & Vegemite coins, the Borobi & Eternal Flames coins are also keepers for me, I don't know anyone who doesn't like the 50c Rams Head, thanks for sharing some interesting finds.
