Hi! Generally if it's still cold & thermostats are still closed, or they are faulty & not opening, it wont cycle the water in the blocks, so the water can overheat the engine then... The water will still always flow out the tell tale outlet.. Don't be deceived in thinking it is operating cooling water through engine, just because it flows out the tell tale visible outlet/spout... this is why full inspection & removal of heads is important if you suspect a problem internally like my video shows.. Hey! Pin pointing the issue makes life easier! So at lower revs the 4 cylinders can mask a fault in a cylinder... I pull the plug leads off one at a time to try find the cylinder where no change happens when lead is removed.. if u can pin point that cylinder, even at slightly higher revs like you said, It can make it easier to go straight to that carby, or at least pay close attention to that one when cleaning them all.. you may also have a bad plug, they can give that same type fault at different revs.. or even coil... but the removing lead trick will help diagnose them too.. you can swap say the faulty cylinder 1 plug with cylinder 2, see if the fault moves to the 2nd cylinder when pulling the lead off again.. then if no change, swap the coil in the same way, see if the fault moves to cylinder 2.. That helps out find exactly which part is failing rather than just replace parts like all the plugs at once. (Or all coils)... you still may have the issue after spending $200 that way! Hey! Yes there can be holes form after a few years... If its accessible to TIG weld or is worth the effort to remove block from the mounts to access, then do that.. I used liquid steel 2 part mix. Its strong, holds extremely well.. If the area is cleaned up well first it can be a good permanent fix. The key is good preparation. The water pressure is a minimal positive pressure, (unlike a car radiator / needing to withstand high KPA pressure), so the repair doesn't have to be pressure critical. Hope that helps 😃😃😃

@@mikemike7523 obd2 said error P0641. I think it’s the BCU/PCU or wire issue. Checked air filter that was filthy defo wasn’t changed at the last service like I was told. Low power mode went away after car was off for 5 mins

@@mikemike7523 once I changed the air filter engine light went off. Also checked fuses and made sure they were all in and that seems fine. It said sensor A open

Hey @b3nnysmith If your engine is running smooth & nice, then it could be something else in the ESP circuit.. but to see my idle issue fix, it was a broken pushrod. Very interesting video & may help you diagnose your issue if its an engine issue still... Hi! The 02 sensors will show different codes if they fault, which is why the scan tool is the only way to diagnose issues on late model cars... A Scan tool is well worth the money & is absolutely essential in any mechanics tool kit these days. Hope that helps, thanks! 😃 😃 😃

@@mikemike7523 Thanks Mike. Yes I have 2 Scan Tools. O2 Sensor is P0050 for Bank 2 Sensor 1. But my Scan Tools do not have any ESP Code/s. I have replaced Wheel Sensors but some say the Rear Wiring Harness is a "possibility". Not sure how wiring could get damaged or broken. Any thoughts?

@@MelodyMan69 Yes wiring can be damaged in many ways, also plug connections on undercar wiring getting corroded etc cause the same electrical connection problems as damaged wiring... but you really are guessing rather than diagnosing. Just watch the video again, as i explain how the engine light being on, will usually & often also demand the "ESP Off" warning as well. The O2 sensor P0050 is common, but specifically applies to the O2 sensor, & will normally trigger the engine light to be on. So after watching the video again, I'm sure you'll realise that, that is most probably your sole issue. Hope that helps! 😃😃😃
