    Do you run on this in your shoes? I have stability shoes that are a little clunky. Would that be a problem with the length and width of this?

    • @cccrt
      @cccrt Před 2 měsíci

      Yes, all the time. Shoes will be no problem. Over time, you will need to make tension adjustments on the belt. However, you will know when that time comes because your gym shoes will catch the belt, and you will know to just tighten the belt up some. That time will vary from person to person based on usage.

    Thank you so much, this is just the advice I've been looking for. Instead of touring around the north side I am going to opt for day trips closer to Ubud. Let me know if you have any recommendations!

    • @cccrt
      @cccrt Před 2 měsíci

      Hi, thanks!! If you're an experienced cyclist, there are groups you can connect with for rides in the central and northern Bali areas. Later in my trip, I joined a group, and we had a blast riding through the mountains. You can find them on the Strava app under Bali cycling groups. If you're looking for sites to see in the UBUD area, we loved the Monkey Forest. There are two of them, with one being cheaper than the other. There's also a nice coffee plantation, but it made national news for the treatment of its Luwak cat. You might also want to visit Aling-Aling Waterfall. It's beautiful; however, make sure to wear the right shoes and be comfortable climbing 20% grade unrailed staircases. If you need a driver for a day trip, I recommend a van and driver for $50.00 for 8 hours. You can contact him at +6281939087041 or via this Google Maps link. Just let him know you were referred by Mike, who was in Lovina 2 years ago. The driver's name is Puto, which means "second child" and is a very common name in Bali.

    Thank you for this video as I was researching reviews on the R8000 groupset. Most others did not get into it as much as your bike technician. I found his approach to be much more helpful. I recently rebuilt my 2013 Scott bike last year but kept the old 6700 group. I'm so happy with the bike that I am considering throwing another $800 at it for the R8000 so I get new parts an a 11s. You noted about remaining in the 52t crank and 36t rear but that seems like cross chaining to me. Also, I'm not sure if there are some errors in your video but The new groupset I'm looking at only offers up to 32t in the rear which is what I'm used to anyway. Your video shows 34t and you mention 36t....a little confusing. I do appreciate you made this one for those of us who work on their own bikes etc. !

    Hey, my brother in Christ. Don’t feel guilty about using the wind. Use all the elements to your advantage. I’m a KOM hunter out in North Texas, 60 years, old, and always ride solo. I love going after KOMs that are held by the young millennials. They typically have the advantage of being in a large group, but I go out when the winds are high and they’re at home hanging out with mama. One rule of thumb for me is I always will incorporate a KOM within a long 50 mile ride. This way, I don’t take any flack for just going after a KOM on a super short ride.😂

    What's your max heart rate? Based on the HR#'s during your ride, I'm guessing 182-3? Have you tried Zone 2 training to help your endurance before getting dropped at mile 26? If I was at your heart rate (I'm 52), I would have popped at probably mile 12. (I think). The terrain in the midwest is very different than the east coast where the hills are a lot bigger.
