The Best Cheapest RC Planes - Full Honest Review
As electronics and 'AI' are creeping into everything, we take a look at 2 of the cheapest , easiest and mildly capable RC Toy Planes on the market at the moment. These 2 planes give major bang for your buck. The little 'Galaxyship' is amusing to fly but the SG F22 has bundles of attitude and is more capable than you would expect. I hope this video helps you if you are new to this hobby.

Picked up another of those little SG F-22s in the Ali sale just ended Dave. They are fun little toys.
Yup, major ‘craic’ 🎉
You guys are making the best advertising channel without advertising, really the most honest channel for affordable RC planes - there is no affiliate link but true info, that's great. But the small plane is not for mud, you know, otherwise it would be called a mud plane instead of a seaplane, hahaha. Have fun and make a lot of honorable Videos. Your quirky Matthias
Those are very kind words Matthias. I don’t know if you find you are just flying by yourself and learning by yourself , so I make these videos to maybe help other ‘solitary’ pilots 👍
I'm really raptured by the Raptur H650 nearly as fast as a rocket Cannot understand spoken English but the written words ✍of the transcript are very good for me👍. Probably, your followers are the chosen ones 🤠 who want to know the full truth I'm glad to see your planes flying under windy condition You are a good pilot but able to understand beginners like me 🛩 Best regards Matthias, the quirky German
Great job, thank you !! If you tell the truth, you need a fast horse. That's what my American friend Conrad used to say. But today, you just make yourself unpopular, only the few chosen ones love honest facts, no doubt, hahaha
Haha, I love that saying - fast horse , so true . This plane is a really fun toy, it’s versatile but just not ‘that’ versatile 👍
@@rcpilots1291 Yes, I own the red and the black one but have to learn to fly before, hehehe. After your vid I know what wind these birds can endure and what I must avoid. But now I learn a little more with an RC Flight simulator on a gaming platform (I do not tell the names because everyone should chose his favorites but do not download a game from DVD please, because you get disturbed by Internet, probably). On this way I can fly the Ranger 600 already when we have mearly no wind. this bird seems to be the easiest beginner plane, it has low wheight and can glide slowly, you know. Greetings from Northern Germany, see you in the air, my friend
@@user-ig3xr6yu1l thanks for all that info. It sounds to me that you are really ready to fly this plane. Beware that it’s a bit of a quirky plane to fly, it turns very slowly so don’t be surprised, the good news is that’s its very robust and takes knocks quite well . But please do not get disheartened if it does not fly easy for you , there are many other planes that are super easy, so just enjoy yourself and happy flying my friend 👍
@@rcpilots1291 Excuse me, my laptop is also quirky (like these planes ;-), because this quirky computer deleted my former comment. I asked the google translator what is quirky and how to speak this waird - suddenly my former comment disappeared. Now I will never forget what's quirky, hahahaha. Before I found a similar plane in my RC flight simulator but it seems to be not a good simulation of such a "board bird" with strange wings, it can fly more easy than the average of my unreal planes. BTW, do you know the Wltoys A800 with front-propeller and ailerons? Do you think that this motor glider is also easy to fly like this quirky lightwheight seaplane (which cannot endure wind and waves on the water, unfortunately)? And what do you think about the small seaplane KF603, do you know it? Have a good evening, dear RC Pilot
@@rcpilots1291 BTW my real name is Matthias, suddenly YT or Google gave me this name XYZ-0815 or whatever
CG is indeed off, I had the same. My fix was to use a bigger battery, plus I also have the landing gear 180 degrees turned, so the wheels are more to the front. Also, highly recommended to use a hobby grade transmitter. At least with mine, the stock transmitter had a big dead zone on the sticks, so when moving from center, first nothing happens, then a rather big deflection. With a better transmitter, the control surfaces move totally smooth in any position of the sticks
@@rc-fannl7364 hi, big thanks for all of that guidance. That’s a lot of help to a lot of people. Happy flying
@@rcpilots1291 Glad to share experience. Not sure if this plane can still be purchased, but while not perfect, it's a lot of fun. Btw, there are two ways to use a hobby grade transmitter with this plane. If fitted with recent software, a multiprotocol radio such as Radiomaster TX16 should have the protocol, but the board in the S720 also has a port to connect a different receiver. I fitted mine with an XM+ since I didn't have a multiprotocol radio back then.
What happened in your video happened to me.. I had a controller setting wrong and the heli went up and backwards.. landed too hard.. and yep bent shaft. So I ordered the XK 110s for 50$ to experiment lol!
Ah crikey, what a bummer. 😢best of luck with the Xk
@canopy3607 right lol.. parts get here in a day for the S2 so that's good.. I knew I should have bought a small beater first lol
You had a camera and an extra battery on the airplane! That’s why it was getting unstable!
Good point 👍
В общем, это г****.
I thought the same thing at first, but after a few flights it really began to show how much fun it can actually be. I hope it does the same for you
Just had to message you. Like you I have been flying a few years and am OK with planes. I bought the durafly autogyro and also gave up after buying lots of spare blades and always crashing. Got the durafly paramotor last week and once again having exactly same experience as you. OK in flat calm, nightmare in a breeze , but I love it. Am currently flying the durafly viper 64mm, which is the best plane I have ever flown. Maybe you should buy one and see if this phenomenon works in reverse. Andy in uk.
Hi Andy, great to hear from fellow pilots with similar ‘challenges’ 😅, I couldn’t get anywhere with the Durafly auto gyro - heart breaking, but at least this Paramotor thing is a lot less hassle . Thanks for the tip about the 64 mm, I’ll check it out

what 2 & 3 cell batteries are you using , Ive just bought a umx conscendo with two overlander 350mAh 7.4V batteries but they don't fit very well and it is really tail heavy unless I add weights in the nose. I haven't maidened it yet as I'm still trying to set up my Jumper t12 transmitter. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
I use the stock 3s 350mah battery, it’s a tight fit. I’m surprised to hear that she is tail heavy , as per radio setup, sorry I’m hopeless with Jumper TX radios but there’s loads of great videos on CZcams . Best of luck with your maiden 👍

Did you find it? Damaged? Do you know how far away? The same happened to me, the Paramotor flew over the Autobahn, I did find it easily and with no damage.

@@rcpilots1291 Last year, I flew my Hobbyking Paramotor, suddenly the thermals became soo strong that I had to stall it, It did not revover, hit a tree. Broke one wheel.
Engineered obsolescence they could make it stronger but then you wouldn't be buying as many parts and replacement airplanes😊😅
I hope not, because it’s a pretty expensive purchase to start with. 😅 happy flying my friend 👍
Please explain or show the aileron wires wired into the 600 board, as the aileron leads are not the standard wiring plug.
Good question, sorry for not mentioning it, I just cut the servo wires and attached the correct fitting 👍
Good first jet?
It is a good jet but there are better easier options . Red arrow have a 50mm gem that’s great for beginners. Check through my videos for a review . Happy flying
Thanks for the tip to reinforce the bottom of the fuselage with tape, especially on the nose. I have already ordered this 4-channel plane XK A800. Tomorrow morning there is almost no wind here and I will fly my 3-channel Ranger 600, the white one = the same as Modster Easy Trainer 600, not the dark 4-channel Ranger 600. Now my beginner plane flies with the nose taped, although the weight is less than 80 grams. Very good idea with the tape. BTW you are a very good RC pilot. Have a good time
I’m delighted to hear trust you enjoyed the video, I love this plane, buckets of fun. Happy flying my friend 👍
Wind flying foamies, elevator up and down.
@@Workerbee-zy5nx wise words 👍
There is certainly a launch technique to learn,.... if it wont kite up..loosen the brake lines,,,if its too sensitive to controls,,,loosen the brake lines a bit, dont give much throttle at launch, or it will stall, check no lines are caught just before launching....cant really teach the launch...it just happens after looooots of tries...ha.,,,so worth it when its airborne.czcams.com/video/bmh4k8wnV5M/video.html
Sincere thanks for your advice 👍, the launch can really be tricky 😢
Music or.. whatever that noise was is annoying. Video is good.
Fair comment, thanks 👍
It's a glider, for heaven's sakes! Or, more precisely, a self-launch motor glider. I don't think it's intended for zooming around the sky and cutting whifferdils at full throttle. If that is your game, get a different plane, one that is more suited to that kind of flying.
Hello there, just came across your channel as I was reviewing these rc paramotors to buy one. I fly drones but these are so calming and graceful.Where are you based. I'm in County Meath.

Ah, the aul elusive UHU POR! Can't find it anywhere in Ireland - do you order it online? Even Amazon don't seem to want to deliver it here

@@rcpilots1291 Ah yes, I know the shop. Thanks, I'll check it out! Great plane this Polaris, wish Banggood still sold it instead of the "Paptor" 😆
What caused that??
I’m guessing the tail motor malfunctioned
Tail rotor axis gyro failure.
Yes it's a nice plane, but the fuselage will break again and again. I glued it several times and had to add weight to the tail because of the large amount of glue it the front 😂 I love to fly it on windy days and hover above my head like a kite.

Hey Steve, big thanks for your nice comment. I appreciate it 👍
I can testify to the fact that you need to keep it close. Lost mine on a very windy day when I could not figure out orientation, even in Safe mode. Flew away and never found. Another pilot lost a UMX Timber same way a few minutes later.
Ah crikey, that’s the worst outcome when they fly out of range, I’ve lost more than one plane just like that, things happen so fast with these small little planes, that’s why I put high viz tape of one side to help with orientation- Best of luck next time 👍

Hi Dave, just discovered your channel - really good quality video and great info! Surprised you fly things the require little to no wind in Ireland! Whereabouts do you fly? I'm constantly trying to find sites to fly in without having to commit to joining a club...
Hiya Paul, thanks for your nice comments and ya it’s very rare to find a calm day around here lately, I live in Cork , Ireland 🇮🇪. I rely on our ‘Irish Aviation Authority’ guidelines which permit flying these little/ lightweight craft in large open areas , just use common sense when people maybe in the vicinity. Happy flying.
@@rcpilots1291 I'm in Co. Meath, lived in Co Kildare before where there were several options such as the Curragh and parks, but have yet to find anything in my new county. I only fly small foamies & helis, so joining a flying club seems a bit drastic!
@@paulcucit2786I’m the same as you , I just like to grab a plane randomly when I’ve got a bit of time to spare. Best of luck with your search 👍
Great little airplane 👍 mine is always in the trunk of the car and flown almost daily on my lunch break. I'm using a 4s pack with YGE 65 amp LVT ESC ($250) and is a bit over kill but it has more power than she will ever need and is a damn rocket.
@@JordanColeman-r8w crikey, that sounds like loads of fun 🤩, I think that I’ll give that a try, thanks 👍
It's an awesome beginner plane. Beginners, keep it in full safe. If you can't control yourself on the throttle, set the transmitter to only go a max of 70%, add it to a switch if you can. Beginners should also not fly on a windy day like this. That's a good tip to check CG, especially when using different size batteries. But really CG should always be checked after every battery change.

@@nickmoloney9820hey my fellow Irishman, great to hear from you, what a great part of the country for slope soaring off all those beautiful cliff edges, the conscendo is brilliant but I wonder if a bigger glider like the ‘bixler’ might be more robust for all those strong gusts 💨, it’s also cheaper .
