As a true jazz lover, it's a timeless masterpiece to be played over, over, and over again. RIP David Sanborn, your spirit is with the great George Duke, Grover Washington Jr., Joe Sample, Nick Colionne, and all the other legendary jazz greats. We, the fans, miss you all.
Many years ago, we were blessed when all these fine musicians came to town to entertain us. “PIECES OF A DREAM” was always a favorite ❤️ I remember sitting around laughing and saying,….”IF YA DON’T TELL ‘EM IT’S JAZZ, THEY LOVE IT” 😎
I just had to say something….normally I don’t leave comments but his performance moved me such that I just had to say something. I’m spellbound. What a treasure. That is for posting this.
Rest in Peace David and George love always this great collaboration Saw George Duke on same Bill playing with Stanley Clarke Marcus opened killer Show In 07
Amazing group of musicians. The drummer Louis Cato is the music director for the Stephen Colbert show. And to Mr Sanborn, Mr Dukes, you left a long legacy of great performances behind to always be remembered by. RIP.
RIP Dave, saw you in 1982 at the Puck Theatre in NYC and can remember it like it was yesterday....you were awesome.....and still are as I have all your albums and will continue to listen until I am called to join you up there in Music Heaven....
My goodness!! 3 masters playing together. I loved them all. God bless David and Duke, who went to be with our Lord and Savior. They're now playing concerts for God in heaven. God bless Marcus...there will only be one bass player in my mind and no one will be able to duplicate him...ever! This trio and their music have gotten me through some rough times in my life. Jazz has changed over here on the East Coast over the years but their music never will. I love them all for their music.
We saw David Sanborn open for Al Jarreau and Wow🎉what a history saw Al at his last concert and now David has passed 😅 Remarkable performances and Journey can you imagine What they are Doing and sending along to connect a universal Spirit
An intro kind of ZAWINUL ,with 3 MASTERS .SANBORN playing with now with MILES, CANNONBALL ,ZAWINUL ,JACO & his mentor HANK CRAWFORD in HEAVEN .QDEP LEGENDARY
Takes me straight back to years ago, visiting the North Sea Jazz Festival in my home town, The Hague every year. The best NSJF venue, year in, year out, and after-partying at the Bel Air next door. Never went to the NSJF again after they took it to Rotterdam. Rest in peace, David Sanborn, thanks for your great musical contribution to this world and many good memories
And who is on drums? Is that Bruner?
I've never seen George play a synthax

Wow I didn't know that David recently passed away. His music will forever play in my heart. RIP
One of the best jazz tracks ever I'm sure.
And yes, Rest in love David Sanborn, George Duke
I give all 100 points to George Duke because he would be a complete professional and too modest a man in music
