You are suppose to rinse them up n dry before baking.
Very simple and Brilliant. Thanks for this idea
Most welcome 😊
Actually, all you need to mount the lid is the screw in part of the lid assembly. It works great with small nails or screws.
Thanks for your input! We appreciate it!
Thank you ❤
I made 6 of these and they are so awesome. No woodchucks can get up there either. It's a treat just walking up to them to work at waist level.
Lovely!
Very helpful. I wasn’t sure if you could dehydrate it. Another CZcamsr swears by freeze drying but that machine is too expensive. I do own a dehydrator though, so I think I’ll try it.
Yes, dehydrating works great!
Fl. Getting ready in Hottest Aug, 2023 to prepare for frost freeze..ha yes we get some. A senior women, i think i can make this.. great job with details. Voice and music...
Thank you so much for your comments!
Man just screw that lid on the block and drill through it! Nails have a chance to loosen or rip theough the lid due to the small head on it, please use screws. Dont take a chance of anyone getting smashed in the head by a jar! If your using plastic it dont matter as much but glass mason jars screw them lids on dont nail! I install these on 10 houses a day its the safest most efficient fastest way. But that is the general idea. Just adding some constructive criticism!
You don’t need to cut hole in ring, just drill small screws into lid. The ring is complete unnecessary.
Did you eat the bug crawling around after you cooked it
I know ya saw that bug crawling all over the cilantro 😭😂😭😂😭
Thank you ⚜
you just helped me be able to finally have a dream of a greenhouse come true! I will be making this as soon as I can. Just subscribed to your channel..look forward to watching all your videos. wonderful teacher. thank you again!
We are so glad you are able to use Olin's video! Thanks for subscribing!
Thank you!
thank you!
@ 1:28 Am I the only one that saw that green bug?
Jumped right out here too... I guess at 200 degrees, the dried cilantro herb can include some micro-protein.
I saw it too😄
The time to bake varies depending on your oven. Mine oven dries cilantro in about 4-6 hours depending on the amount.
You said 200゚ but you didn't say how long you keep it in the oven for?
Brilliant. Thanks for this idea
Thanks!
This was great guys. Thank you. Very smart to have the chicken wire to block birds
Thanks so much!
Get a good silencer/suppressor and choot ,em!
Made some traps just like this put sugar water in the bottom. It's been a week and I still haven't caught one.
The only thing we know to put in it is a dead carpenter bee...so they will sense it. We have not heard of attracting them with sugar water. Also, you may have to move it around their holes so they will find it. We have had to move them on occasion.
P
The female is attracted to the hole. You do not have put anything in it. I make and sell them as well as have them around my own house. You need to have them in late March because April and may is when they are active. I also use a step drill to make the hole in the jar lid.
Where do you get your bees? I'm in South central Indiana. Thanks
Why not 4 holes?
You can put 4 holes...
I want a place like this! Great job!
Thank you!
I like your blue box with the chicken wire over.
Thanks Carol! The blue box is a storage/shipping container that grocery stores and drug stores use for handling their merchandise.
Why wouldn't you just set it on the ground? What is the purpose for it being off the ground?
Yes, you can set it on the ground! The raised beds are easier ergonomically. Any one, even in a wheel chair, can have the pleasure of gardening. Thank you for comment!
This is the only way, the ONLY way I thwart the woodchucks and I can grow again. It's so nice to garden waist high.
My dog can't pee that high
Appreciate the idea. I just got done building mine. Turned out great. Nice an easy 😎👍
Thanks for letting us know!
Natural salt is a good natural perseverance ~ I blend it in my pepper powder to persevere it ~ Every thing needs salt any way. So why not? Spiders are good eating ~ never even taste it YUM 🤣 You think that bad? Buy some rice, flour, beans. and put it into a container, RIGHT FROM STORE! Wait for 6 months and open it up! YUCK full of bugs from your store! So it don't pay to buy in bulk!
he hee The best is fresh cilantro i get lazy and just stick in the deeper freezer helps keep it, even thro it turns black still good tastings
Where do you get the barrels?
Craig's list
Seems interesting, how did you manage to get this much of leaf cutter bees?
We are a farm, so we can order 2,000 hatching cocoons at a time. Did that answer your question?
@@leighfunderburk5320 Yes and it's a good video. I hope it reach to more people because in most places people consider honey bees as a solely pollinator in farm.
Awesome work! You’ve inspired me
Thank you so much for your comment
Great Video
Thank you!!!
I like the way you did this very simple
Thank you!
Very Nice, Sir. For people like us who are homebodies :-)
Thank yoy!
Thanks for the video! Hopefully those bees get off my front door soon!
Me too!
How many min did she say?
Good question , I want to know too
Looked online. 30 mins at 250f
Arrggg you baked a bug. You can see it crawling on the pan. Maybe a wash with a little vinegar before baking would help. But thanks for the info. Very helpful.
Thanks for your comment. Fortunately, I saw the bug before baking. I did wash the cilantro thoroughly, but he made it through....arrggg
More protein!
Are you using treated wood ?
Olin used old treated wood...several years old scap wood. You can use untreated wood.
How about the Owl decoy in the garden at 1:51 ? I'm curious, does that actually work for anyone?
👍. Best Conferance I’ve ever attended.
Absolutely looks great! Love thy tractor seats and fire pit! Thanks for sharing. I wish I was your neighbor! Hahaha
Thanks so much for your comments!
Oh my, how adorable 💕
Thank you for your comment! It is rare for us to have the opportunity to see them this close!
Dutch sent me over to check you guys out.
Thanks!
I live in a pine forest but have wanted a garden for years. My neighbor laughed and asked me if I was going to feed the deer. I am going to try this!
Every week or two add pie pans or bells to the wire/fence...it will keep them from figuring it out.
Leigh Funderburk ok great thank you so much
That’s actually amazing.
Hi I was wondering if you had success with the fishing line keeping the deer out? thanks, rhonda
Yes Rhonda, we had good luck with it and we are trying it again this year. it also helps to put aluminum pie pans or light weight bells on the line near the pole...to make noise.
Would have been helpful to see with the windows attached. I see hinges, were those attached to windows so you can flip them up? Would like to see that.
Michael, thank you for your comment! Here is a link to a picture album on our Facebook page called "cold frame' showing the windows attached. Hope this helps and glad to respond to any other questions. facebook.com/pg/stoneycreekfarmtennessee/photos/?tab=album&album_id=855408691280536 Leigh
