I need to see one of those batteries open . One of my first baofeng's i dropped the mic so after that drop something was ratteling inside i opened it upp and low and behold they glued in a piece of rusty iron to give it weight lmfao .

If you bend that goosneck 90 degrees are you then Horizontal or verticalli polarized with your signal or does that just make it an omnidirectional an antenna lmfao this is getting confusing hahahahaha.

I had these when I was about 12 I think. I am 58 now so that must have been around 1978. These walkie talkies are the reason I still know the international alphabet fully by head at any moment of the day or night. We had so much fun with these. But if I remember right we had these on 27.125 (channel 14) and that was part of the fun because sometimes we had a brief contact with truck drivers if they were close. I am in The Netherlands. I do not remember the name: Harrier scout being printed on them. For the rest they are exactly as I remember them

ALL walkie talkies from my childhood were 27.125 (channel 14) am mudulation. I am from the netherlands and I think most walkies talkies came from germany

Problem is using a T800 will.not give you a clear signal meter is not realy a real signal meter .try using a diffrent rig with different signal meter on it .also if your silver rod was higher it would be booming out more .good video anyway

I was skeptical about low power cb 4 watts and lower and wasted money on amps etc. Dont get me wrong amps work but you will be suprised what you can do with 4 watts. Recently i have made several contacts into Europe on under 4 watts power with a dipole antenna in my loft. In fact, with a T-800 also. Great fun! You just got to keep trying and eventually you will get through. Great video and radio btw, i am a big fan of the T-800. 👍

Just implemented almost this exact thing, except I did mine on LED light on the top of a flag pole. Literally just ran it up, hope it give me some nice range.
