Hello there!
My name is Mikael von Bargen. I´m from Sweden but post everything in English to be able to reach a bigger audience. I apologize for any language errors since English is not my native tongue.
I am a decent chess player with an ELO over 2100 and love to dig more into the game so I spend lots of time solving puzzles and checking out new cool openings. As a player I am super aggressive and always try to play some wild gambit whenever I get the chance. For me, chess should be fun and I just love it when games go crazy.
Follow my channel to watch my chess videos with problems, puzzles and opening tutorials.
Contact me at mikael@vonbargen.se if you have a puzzle or study to recommend, maybe even your own compositions. If I like them I will make a video about it and post on my channel.
Apart from my chess material I also have a vide variety of Supremacy 1914 videos that will help you develop into a master of Supremacy 1914 if you are a fan of this online strategy game

Qe5,KA8. QE8,KA7. QE3!,KB7. QB6 NEXT MOVE IS MATE
As beautiful as Spain, love it.
How about qe5, ka8, qe8, ka7, qe3, kb8, qb6, kc8, qc7, mate?
2:13 - Q-e5 was obvious. But why not examine Q-e8+ or Qd4+, depending on K move? Then Q-d5 is still possible, the same endings elsewhere.
Just brilliant combination and tactics. Thank you very much.
How about after Qd5 , if Kc8 Qc7 mate, if Ka7 Qc7 .., if Ka8 Qe8 did I miss something? BTW love the puzzles!!
Qd5 setting up the discovered check is brilliant. I thought every move by white had to be a check on the black king but this puzzle allowed the white king to be checked and still retain control.
I went until the right third move but stopped there, lazy😂 ..I merely "sniffed" it was the right solution but dis not complete the analysis 😊
Hellowo
First move really jumped at me, 5 seconds at best! But didn't find the follow up, overlooked that the bishop covers e7!
what about QC5 @ 1:40
I think black has several options after Qc5 but the move I would choose after a quick look is Nd7, attacking the queen and getting the knight more involved.
Very satisfying
white king to a2.
Nice Videos keep going bro
The problem is in a real game even if this position occurs the black king will take the knight in most cases and lose.
Here is an alternative: Q-f5, K-h8, Q-g5 check, r-g7, K-g6, black is finished.
1 c4 dxc3 ep 2 dxc3 a3 3 c4 a2 4 Bf6 a1 = Q 5 Be7 and I don't see an easy way to stop checkmate.
I think this is the first of these puzzles I have found the complete solution to.
Excellent combination. Thank you very much.
Wouldn't Qd8 also work? It has all the same mating patterns.
No because after Qd8, Bd3 blocks all mate in 2’s
I got the right answer without understanding exactly why. I'll take it 😂
This is another "who cares if you get it in two, or get it in three?" puzzle. Q x B, Whatever, Q x N, Whatever, done.
Smyslov was really great. The black move ...Bf2! looks nice. Smyslov had composed many beautiful studies.
How often are these puzzles arranged so that the winning move looks like the stupidest move on the board? Good puzzle. Interesting solution.
Often.
I don't see the checkmate if black plays Kf2? Also, what stops the white square bishop from blocking.
Now please explain how could the King reach f2 in one move...😂
(If 1....Nf2, simply 2.Qa2#)
1 sec
Yeah, 1 sec to post "1 sec"... after trying to figure out the right move for 1 hour...😂
A piece on the every corner and two in the middle, just to mention its beauty.
In 4 seconds I found the queen sacrifice. Too easy for me.
I’m sure there’s a medal winging its way to you as we chat 😂❤️
Another 5 seconds
Qd5?
How to mock the clergy, eh? ;)
Took too long, but still satisfying to solve one.
Likewise.
Same. I’m not sure how long I took. 8-10 mins I think. 😅 But I don’t consider myself a strong player. Still learning ~
Solved, nice one.
Yes, not too hard, once you figure out a way to introduce a new threat. I did try most of the wrong moves first, though!
5 seconds
Very good
Found it quickly! But these nice quick ones are perfect for a monday ;-)!
...
Are you sure? After Kh7 white plays Nd8. How can black stop the pawn on e7 from promoting?
@@Chess-strategyyou are right .rook check doesn't help
Thanks for presenting this! 11:43 "Now he can put it (the rook) on f8". This is not that correct, as Ng6+ will win the rook and the game.
Really beatiful the last mate with only knight and bishop on the board!
Excellent combination and tactics. Thank you very much. You are just brilliant as always.
8:16 I always share map with the locked in Computer Players and for example in my 100p map, I shared map with about 30 ai and 1 3 have given me right of way
Great tutorial at the end Like you said in the last video, the start to this game was indeed pretty lucky. Lot of inactive players near you. I started my 100p game yesterday with 20 ppl. it was filled with all 100 by the next day lol. Went to sleep with 1 active neighbor, woke up to 4, and being attacked by 1 haha
Such a beautiful puzzle. When I first glanced at it, I never recognized that so many beautiful moves and sacrifices would be required to win it.
And who said you couldn't checkmate with only a knight against a bishop?!
Keep the King out of the corner!
Could you find something harder, lol.
great!!
