Awesome video, thanks for sharing!
Well yes with the tool and a press, absolutely.
Can you intsalled mine mr greg. I have the same car
You are not a mechanic. That explains why you are wearing sandals. Other than that great work.
Oh no! look out the know it all who tells people what they are and what they are not is here! Everyone quick! Bow down to his magnificence.
Who makes this kit????
Note: You can buy the Harness specific to your car from ebay or amazon, and there will be extra wires depending on the options you may or may not have (i.e. power antenna) that you just leave alone if not matched. This applies to any stereo alpine or a different brand and to any car corolla or anything else, as long as you have the correct car specific harness. I have done it at least 8 times including navigation units, same process.
Thanks George. Do you know, how to connect jack phone 3.5mm for toyota corolla 2001. So I can use the my cell phone or mp3 for my car. Thanks
Do you know the wire colors for all speakers
Got a link to the unit you replaced it with?
I wish I had found this video (and the comments) before I ordered my new stereo -- this is my first time doing this and I didn't realize that I needed to buy a wire harness. (It was kind of glossed over in the video but I finally put two and two together when I watched it a second time and read through the comments. :D) Thanks so much for putting this together, it's really helpful!
I appreciate you taking the time to do this video... I will install an Alpine in my daughters 2000 Corolla tomorrow, and this video will help me do that!
Thank you great explanation 👍
hot glue the cover on.
Great video thanks for your knowledge!
I had to watch this as I have a 2002 Toyota Corolla anyway good job .....
Thank you!
great job sir is your generator still running good?
EB, yes it is. Works Great.
George hi. Where can I buy the whole carb kit for NG conversion? I bought an Venturi adapter kit from Century Fuel and I couldn’t get the gen to run smoothly. Thx
I wonder if the fixture coming with the tool could do the job?
Thanks for the video. i did matched same colors with new stereo to adapter wires but when i tried to plug in this adapter the wires are different with the car wires (like in video 14:50 you were connecting wires these are different as of the adapter wires ).
Sree g : some wires will not match, do not connect these. They are for things like power antenna where you may not have this option and so on. If wire colors don’t match, don’t connect them. Thank you.
Thanks. I just did this on my Corolla and the stereo works but now one of my headlights doesn't work and all the passenger windows don't work. Any idea why?
Great video thanks
Good detail video i am puting in a stereo in my Carroll ,thanks definitely will help
hey thank you for thr video post can you post the link where i can buy the Alpine stereo that you installed?
Do you know what size speakers are in the front and rear??
thank you sir
The bearing separator tool is in the press fixture the wrong way. The body of the tool (clamping part) need to be across on the press fixture opening, not the bolts, as you can bend the bolts the way you have it set up.
I noticed this also . I do it like you do. Common sense.
This was going to be my comment.
You are right. I thought I made a note on the video clip to correct that. Thanks
Great 🎥 very informative... That 🕙 though lol
Amazing I have a 1999 toyota corolla and I just ordered a dual stereo going to install it tomorrow. thanks so much for this detailed video in advance
GoodVibesOnly You're welcome. I'm doing another installation to my new old car soon.
You're welcome.
George I did it! thanks again. only issue I had was that the brakets didn't fit on my after market stereo, I need a kit to be able to use the brakets other than that everything works perfect.
Question Hi have the same Honda EU 3000 tri fuel The generator turn on on propane runs ,but once I power up a shop vacuum cleaner. The engine sucks off and shakes also I heard back fire , I run on gasoline, it's all fine Please advise Thank you Henry
Two things, first is that LP and NG each have less BTUs than Gasoline. So if your load is making out the engine it may not have enough capacity to handle the load when not on gasoline. The other option is you fuel-air mix is off. You will need a load bank to adjust the load block, do it at idle and full load. If anything you want a rich mix and not a lean one. The sweet spot is tight for a small engine. I also recommend testing your exhaust temp loaded and unloaded running on gasoline and also of LP or NG There should not be a big difference. If it is running a lot hoter your mix is likely wrong.
You are brave, working in sandals, I always have on something with steel toes.
You are correct. I usually take safe measures but for this one time, I did not and I am not sure why.
Does it work with 2000 Corolla?
uh YEAH! its the same generation.
Ok, thanks.
+sku11wish your welcome
What kind of what kind of harness
Thanks a lot your video was very helpful.
Thank you George
I see that the link no longer works. Let me research it and find a new link
sorry George but that link you provided doesn't show a eu3000is, can you give us a better link
Thanks for this. I've been looking for an example of how to do this properly, and could only find videos that used grinders and plasma torches. I have the bearing separator set, but it looks like those steel channels are also a key piece of your setup. Thanks again!
You are welcome. the channels are from a local steel mill shop. I purchased them for like $10 a piece. I am sure there is a shop around you. or you can stack thick plates
I found some C-channel on Amazon (of all places) for about $12 made from thick 6061-T6 aluminum (the kind they make scuba tanks and wheel spacers out of). It worked wonderfully!
George is there a way to contact you privately?
Hey could you please link me with the exact radio you have
Hi Mr. George, I have the same exact car but I've been having the hardest time find the right radio to fit the dash w/o shaving down the edges. what's the exact measurements of the the radio your using?
Thanks for this video George, I'm installing a Pyle PLD11BT Touch Screen Control - Motorized & Detachable Display - USB Flash & Micro SD Memory Card Reader this unit I'm using has a 10 - Inch Touchscreen, it'll also allow the mirror / streaming of my android phone to 10 inch touchscreen so I can watch netflix etc on touchscreen and use all my android apps on the touchscreen...wish me luck.
Good luck, installation is same. its fun when done.
the radio in my 2000 corolla is different the radio is built into the dash any idea if that can be changed?
George, I thought you did a good job on the video. I have the same generator. Do you have any details on where you got the kit,and the cost? thanks! Curtis.
+Curtis Pomykal Hello, central main diesel. www.centralmainediesel.com/order/Honda-EU3000iS-Tri-Fuel-Kit.asp?page=Honda_EU3000iS_Tri_Fuel_Kit&gclid=Cj0KEQiAn8i0BRDur-HV1PCTy4UBEiQAPuFr9Mu6e-LPJAnvyllH4Oy4S2jIjzTtokFUBzh8MGloAJwaAmiN8P8HAQ

thanks for posting - very helpful. i hope your daughter did not give you a hard time about the trim.
Thank God somebody talk about the front wheel drive race
Thank you for making this, it saved me a bunch of time!
+Casey Niederhauser You are welcome, I learned a lot from youtube. I have done this many times and still doing it on my cars. you save a bundle of money with DIY.
What type of radio system was that?
Hey, I am going to attempt to install a radio in my 2001 Corolla. My car did not have a radio when I purchased it, so I have to get the radio brackets from a used parts place or from Toyota. Now, I'm also realizing that I don't have a wiring harness in the car, there are just a group of bundled wires with scotch tape at the ends. What should I do? Take it to a professional? Or can I buy an additional wiring harness that connects to those wires? P.S. I've already purchased a wiring harness, ties, and krimp caps. And I had a kit, but I realized I didn't need it after watching this video.
Tesfa Ayana Hi, you need to connect the wiring harness you purchased to the new stereo, then those plugged end into the car plugs. I am sure what you found bundled is the car stereo wiring. it just never had radio but wiring exits ( I'm almost sure). you can do this your self, it really easy, just color match the wires. the results will be thrilling.
I went to an auto part salvage store and got them to cut the connectors out of one of their Corollas. Hopefully, those can be wired to the wires in the dash. However they only gave me two connectors, I don't have 3 like whats shown in your video.
I almost paid a stereo installation place to do it, but they said $118 for everything and $50 just to wire the salvaged connectors to the wires in the car. I'm just going to see if my brother can do everything for free on Thurs.
Tesfa Ayana I guess it gets more intense if you don't even have the connectors. I hope you have speakers.
Listen IF YOU HAVE A NEW GEN.YOU HAVE TO RUN THE ENGINE AND LET THE PISTONRINGS SILL BEFORE THE PROPANE WILL WORK PROPERLY
To answer marksrig, I do not recall a spacer. it was an identical carb that was altered by CMD to receive propane. you have a different setup and if it is compatible with your generator, I would go ahead and try it.
