Just watched your show, it looks great! Always best to start small and work towards a larger and more complex show. Thanks for the kind words about the display as well! Makes it all worth while to hear good reactions on it. The 9 DMX wash fixtures are American DJ QWH5X's. Running in 8 channel mode. The scanners are American DJ Comscan LED's. They are surprisingly bright for only being 10 watt LEDS. Good luck with the future display! We'll be right there with you by trying to expand even more.

I have just a couple more questions. 1:Do you have the wash lights and the scanners in any type of waterproof housing, and if so, where did you get it at? 2:Do you program (sequence) those light in LOR or do use use a different program? shane Johnson 1: In our search for waterproof housings, we were unable to find anything even near the cost of a single light! No point in spending 5 times more than the light alone. We opted to use simple acrylic bags (regularly used to cover artwork, trophies, dolls etc. found on fine home displays dot com.) With a heating element we sealed up the one small hole at the top and they worked perfectly all season! $10 per light and will simply purchase fresh ones next season. If you aren't too constrained by cost there is always the option to go for IP rated fixtures, taking the need for weather protection out of the equation. 2: I sequenced everything in LOR. Yes, it took forever, however trying to merge a program such as Chauvet's ShowXpress with LOR proved to be a headache. I would recommend mastering LOR early if you plan to go that route, 82 DMX channels alone was rough! Hope this all helps! Jason Wasser Okay, just one last thing, and then I promise i'll leave you alone haha. I would just like to know, how old were you when you did your first show in 2009? Some people have told me that i'm too young to worry about Christmas lights in that scale at only 14, but its what I like to do!

shane Johnson I was 15 when I debuted my first show! Wasn't pretty, but it was a start. Don't listen to anyone who says that! Once you learn how to program your shows at a high accuracy you'll blow them all away!

The wood is 2x2 lumber with 50 holes drilled through at 4" spacings. I used C6 LEDs for it and I found that a 5/8" drill bit worked best. There are two stainless steel bolts which only apply pressure to the brick when tightened, while holding the frame in place.

brad cox Having never used Vixen products I can't speak for anything but LOR. It's been great for all 5 years!
