Gaelic Song: Tom Sloss : Gruachach Donn Bhruinail
An duine fhein, a seinn " Gruagach Donn Bhruinail" : Tomas aig a Ghrand Ole Opry ann am baile mor Ghlaschu uaireigin eadar 1994 agus 1997. Tom recorded only one CD "Completely Sloss" . Sadly it is as rare as a hen's teeth.

Murdo Domino MacLeod, from Lewis, sings a song in praise of Lewis - how unusual is that? : -) I had forgotten that Capt Lachlan MacPhail of Tiree followed it. Played by the Kinning Park Pipe Band and I think my dad used to play with them in the 1950s. :-)

I think this song is called "Duan An t Seoladair" (The song of the Sailor) but it might be called "Oran a Chruiser" (The Song of the Cruiser). Either way, its a song about a sailor from Lewis in a faraway place. "The sweat was blinding us with the heat that was in it, that was a thing that was rare in Lewis" :)

Hello, I'm Anthony Crehan, Junior's great grandson. I never got a chance to meet my great grandfather or my grandfather. I just came across this video today, and I wanted to sincerely thank you for posting this. It's surreal to hear him speak, to have a record of his life that I can look at and listen to. It means a lot just to know it's here for me to come back to whenever I want to say hello to him.

It was always my dream as a very young boy and in my youth to become a brilliant musician, I wanted to be a wilder and better musician than Jimmi Hendricks, I want to learn and have the skills Phil Lynott, Rory Gallagher, John Fogerty, Jim, Morrison, Bob Dylan, Willy DeVille & Van Morrison. I did my best to learn on my own, I had almost no money, good-paying work was hard to find, I did not even succeed in becoming an OK musician, I failed completely on that front yet looking back to that time in my life I still want to become a great musician.
