    Zelf maak ik al jaren spekkoek, maar dan volgens een ander recept. Ik gebruik er ook pandan bij, wat een mooi kleurrijk geheel geeft. Dit recept ga ik zeker eens proberen, al is het maar om het verschil te proeven met mijn eigen recept!

    I used to be married to a Dutch/Indo. Lumper is a favorite! My kids will be thrilled! Thank you! Do you know Rissoles? Deep fried crepes filled with a seasoned beef an appetizer usually dipped in mustard. Not croquettes and these have no breadcrumbs? My kids would be over the moon!

    5:16 Seperate the eggs in a seperate small bowl. When you mess up, you can set that bowl aside, get a new one and go on with the next egg to save time.

    I’m going to make my own spekkoek for the first time this year, my Oma and Tante made this growing up but I haven’t had it in 4 years and it’s such an important part of Christmas for me. I have their recipe but was very intimidated in the process, so thank you

    Thank you. The sauce I make is so simple.ketchup, yellow mustard and a dash of garlic. That's how my Indo-mon taught me. Sauce preferences depended on what region of Indonesia 🇮🇩 people came from. My mother came from Bandung and my father from Jakarta., terima kasih.

    I made this and found that the layer underneath was still a bit jiggly! I had my racks in the middle of the oven vs a bit higher up. How many inches from the top should the pan be?

    Hi Brenda, this looks easy but just time consuming! Are you never prikking the cake to see if it's done? You're just following the look of the top layer? My mom has made a couple and I used to live in the Netherlands so purchased some at the Tako stores there... I'm going to try it out!

      Hi Michelle...every now and then, I will check for doneness. The layers are so thin, that it's not really an issue. It is very time consuming but so worth all that time...it's truly a labor of love. Please let me know how yours comes out! Thank you for watching!

    WWat een goede uitleg. Netjes gedaan. Ik heb nu 2 keer spekkoek gemaakt. Er zijn wel meerdere recepten. En heb zo het mijn eigen recept gevormd. De spekkoek was goed ontvangen. Groetjes berta. Uit spakenburg Nederland.

    roll the lempur in the cling wrap dont fold in the sides once rolled grab the ends and twist otherwise it falls to bits when heated

      @@brendagruber9380 It's August 24th 2022 and I finally made it tonight! It turned out so delicious! It taste just like when I was a kid. It's definitely a little time consuming when it's time to get the cendol mixture through the holes. I have never made cendol, eaten a lot as a kid or at festivals, so glad I made it tonight thanks to your easy recipe.

    dear madam. got some new inspiration to make the perfect lumper. the indo dutch call it klapper. it is an other way to make the rice. olso you can freese your lemongrass. and bruse it. gives more flavor that way. i enyoyed youre video

      Hallo f. Iclaud. Dank je voor het bekijken van mijn filmpje. Ieder staaf boter is 113 gram, dus 6x113 grams is 678 gram boter. Ik ben blij dat ik je vraag kan beantwoorden.
