long armed $4500, maybe $450. What I would like to know is how the quilter found the fabric, how she chose the colors/fabric, and decided on the pattern. I have seen/read much history on quilts, the quilting bees, techniques, but I haven't heard what the thoughts were of the quilter as to where the fabrics came from or where she got them or if purchased how much paid and how she got the pattern, and how long it took to make a quilt. Perhaps your 95 year old friend could provide that info for her quilt making, not just this one, and of course, yourself. Before the 1960's, what was the thought processes of the quiltmaker and fabric sources.

Good morning! As you mentioned, some block styles do not have distinct names; also, some names are only descriptive. Here’s my list from the bottom to the top in the order you showed them to us. 1. rail fences weave 2. flying geese 3. sawtooth star 4. Dresden plate 5. starburst (a variation) 6. Amish star 7. flower basket 8. 9-patch kaleidoscope 9. Grandma’s flower garden (with hexagons) 10. tumbling blocks 11. hearts appliqué 12. 8-point stars 13. pinwheel kaleidoscope 14. Irish chain 15. kimonos (with HSTs) 16. bear paws 17. little 8-point stars 18. little baskets Wondering if anyone found some unique block names for the simply descriptive ones.

Your videos have taught me two areas for improvement in binding. Securing the corner better before mitering has been hit or miss for me resulting in some wonky finishes. Joining the binding strips 80% of the time didn't always come out as smoothly as I wanted. Your way for both of these areas is more efficient and accurate than mine has been. I'm looking forward to binding my next project with less trepidation. Thank you for all your directions. A Yellow Brick Road Quilt is in my future project plans. Jan
