Great video!
Never lay any bike on the derailer side.
Omg, it can be dismantled into two suitcases? Too awesome!
very nice 👍 i bought a schwinn cruiser in 1958 when i was twelve . had it until 1980 and then gave it away . big mistake . most fun bike i ever had . i'm riding a 5000 € e mtb now and it's not anywhere near as fun a bike as the cruiser .
Hi there, nice video. What the name of the music track please?
Some musicians we saw about 20 years ago. Fishtank Ensemble.
@@normansadventuretime5435 Thank you, it is great!
I would love to go to this location what beach is this?
Near Santa Clause Lane in Carpinteria. Best in summer.
If you don't feel uncomfortable saying, how much was your car "out the door" (everything included) in California?
Annoying music. Good video. Nice bike. 😂
Hey there "Stranger"! Just found Your Channel!? This is Steven Watkins, your old neighbor...How have You Been? Was just talking to Michael Mason about You, and was wondering how you have been? Do You still Fly? Well, Take Care & Happy Trails to Y'all!!! 👋🤠👍
Hi, do you go along the coastline? How was the Traffic?
We mainly took back roads along the coast. We ran into traffic leaving Olbia going North, but that was due to construction. Leaving Palau on the SS133 was really bad with lots of trucks and no shoulder. Maybe you can go around. Other than that the roads were great. We had a problem with the bike and rented a van to take us from Portoscuso into Cagliari. I would not recommend trying to ride there on the SS195.
Here is a route that I made based on my memory of our trip. ridewithgps.com/routes/37980909
Thank you! What a stunning cinematic journey....looks like our trip from July! :)
Thanks for posting, my wife and I "tandem tour" as well. By the way, we have the same tent!
Hi Fellow Tandemers! I see you have a comotion tandem. How do you like it for air travel and how do you like it for riding locally (without air traveling)? We might be in the market for one, one day. Thanks for sharing. Subscribed.
Our commotion Java is great. It takes 30-60 minutes to disassemble or reassemble. We try to plan trips in loops now so we can leave the suitcases at hotel, then come back to the same place. I’ll do a review of it someday.

Nice
What do you think of the Java? Im thinking of getting one
It’s great. Handles a load well. Paint is a little soft, and I upgraded the brakes to Paul Klampers.
Super ❤👍
Seafood
Crazy to think, doing stuff like this, (apart from gas n food) is priceless, just beautiful! defo on my bucket list
This is not Radiohead
Indeed. Apparently any dummy can make dope beats in Garage Band.
@Norman's Adventure Time hehe, I was gonna comment this again, your video is in a Radiohead playlist with versions of Bloom only... Nice vídeo anyways
That's great, thanks for sharing your bikepacking adventure. I'm heading out to Florida Panhandle solo bikepacking your next week.
Very nice video. Well done. Subscribed.
Muy buen video y excelente música 👌.
Truly awful music
Thanks for sharing - my wife and I love tandem trips
Klunker? Don't see it.
great video! Thanks for the ride. Being a cyclist I enjoyed it! back in the day I rode from from NY to Provincetown. Slept out under the stars. I give a lot of credit to bike packers! Keep it up.
Did you convert the bottom bracket?
Mark Anthony Castaneda I used a Truvativ American to Euro BMX adapter. Truvativ American-to-Euro BMX Adapter www.amazon.com/dp/B000VT550K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_45IiFb3YGGH4R
Are you allowed to disperse camp on this road? Also would a stock Subaru Crosstrek be enough for this road? Thanks!
This road is completely closed to cars. I believe disbursed camping is allowed. There is a campground too, but no water. Check the Los Padres National Forest website for details.
@@normansadventuretime5435 I see, thanks for the info!
I like it!
Nice build!! I too live in Ventura
<3
Nice video. It goes without saying that pics are worth more than words. Vid illustrates varied topography for those like me who are unfamiliar with Sardinia. Would be nice to know what tires you used. They look to be perhaps 36-40 mm, but that is just a guess. Some of the rougher terrain would be much easier using mtb type tires, but interested in the facts and your recommendations on tires and anything else you deem important to this tour.
Our bike came with 45 mm tires. The roads in Sardinia were generally very good, so our tires were plenty wide.
Sweet conversion! Thanks for sharing. Is that solid seat post stronger? (I have an old cruiser with a 7/8" seat post and I keep bending seat posts.)
Daniel Spray It’s supposed to be. I’m 6’3 and 190 pounds, and haven’t bent it.
@@normansadventuretime5435 Cool! Thank you!
@@normansadventuretime5435 Why did you remove the pretty original Schwinn bicycle fork? Pity
Taht music is giving me hemmorhoids
Very nice video of your cycling tour -- I really enjoyed viewing it. Thank you very much for posting it.
That’s amazing!
What city is this in?
eugen iacob near Carpinteria Ca
why SOME people say Cali tide pools are dead
It's not practical to have a electric car. It's useless in road trips.
Wow, fantastic video < 3
Where was this shot? That water clarity is really good.
Some Scrubb Carpinteria near Bates road, super low tide
Thanks!
Beautiful countryside did you feel safe while you were riding out there? and have you ever ridden in Thailand? if so how does it compare to riding in Vietnam?
David C Vietnam was great. Never felt unsafe. I highly recommended it. Never been to Thailand
Nice Video. .Watch my channel :)
Does look like I could carry kayaks with the racks.
I just saw a video that two bikes will fit inside. The penalty for the extra drag seem like inside the car is a better option.
Hi Norman, I’ve watched your CZcams video showing your journey on the EuroVelo 6 path. It was both impressive to watch and instructional for me and my team as we are involved in a design competition in which we’ll design rest stops along the path. I was hoping that we might gather a little information from you that would help in our design (if you have time), specifically: • Why did you chose to bike the EuroVelo 6? • Suppose these stops were built and you stayed overnight at one: o What amenities would you find indispensable? What could you not do without (such as a bed, a shower, bike tools and pump, etc.)? o What amenities would not be indispensable, but would be nice to have (a fireplace, a hot tub, etc.)? o Would views out into the landscape be important to you? Do any views you had on your journey immediately come to mind as a great place for one of the rest stops? o What materials would resonate with you (steel, wood, local stone, etc.)? • Aside from biking, what other activities did you partake in? o Fishing? o Vineyards? o Night life? o Restaurants? o Thermal Spas? Thanks very much for your time!
Inspiring video …. Someday I want to do a tour south of San Francisco …..
Jim Andrews I highly recommend it!
I'm planning on several tours for next year …. One to Point Reyes for around a week. Another to Santa Cruz, possibly even as far as Monterey …..
