Windsurf - On the Cutting Edge - 1985
On the cutting edge came out around 1985 at the time of the Oneill comps.
It was one of the first videos to capture the insane backward loop attempts at the time.
The sailors are Alan Cadiz, Mike Waltz, Chris Lassen, Ian Boyd, Dave Ezzy, Mike Eskimo (sailing for Browing before Bic), Fred Haywood, Matt Schweitzer and Angus Chater (originally from UK).
Sorry the Video is not very good quality but enjoy.

The Aloha Classic was another ground breaking video in Windsurfing. It was one the first professional captures of a multi-discipline competition with Slalom, Wave and Expression Session. Earlier in the same year the Oneill video has set the bar but the Aloha Class delivered all the action in a great format. Many Thanks to Bennett Productions for capturing some great footage....

Windsurf - Ten Cate - Board Manufacturer - 1980s

Ten Cate were the Dutch manufacturer of the original Windsurfer regatta design. They went on to produce there own boards and equipement. Most of the boards were polyethlyene plastic and of the Funboard generation. The most notable sponsored sailor was Jaap Van der Rest who held the World Speed Record before Pascal Maka.

The Fuerteventura slalom and speed trials of 1986 at Sotavento was a pinnacle event in breaking the fastest speed previously set by Crossbow. The second WSMA video made after Scheveningin 1983 visits La Torche, San Francisco, Hawaii, Sylt, Scheveningen and Omeazaki. Young sailors of the day were Eric Thieme at La Torche, Pete Cabrinha and some sailor called Bjorn Dunkerbeck making his first apeearances on the World Cup stage. Also Robert Teritheau making his entry known at Omeasaki in 50 knot winds.
