Wow! You're a real OG for the PS2. It was the primary console of my childhood, felt like it was around forever in those formative years, and it did have a lengthy run. But you're 100% right, the processing and graphics improvements were incredible. I believe the original PS1 was limited to something like 12,000 polygons per frame in a 30FPS game? Whereas the PS2 had the ability to process 2,200,000 polygons per frame in a 30FPS game. Insane leap forward! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment - it's greatly appreciated! Thank you for the kind words, I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the recap videos as much as I have had making them. If the artist’s work lives on, are they truly gone? His legacy and impact on manga, anime and the cultural zeitgeist is undeniable and that will live on for a long long time to come. Hopefully he sees how loved he truly was. But don’t worry; we’ll all be able to relive the stories Toriyama-sensei left for us - and you’ve got so much ahead of you. Just remember the Turtle Hermit way. Dragon Ball is a very different flavour to Z; far more light hearted and comedic. But it’s so full of charm and childlike wonder; reflecting Goku’s own innocence of the world and its ways. I think she’d really enjoy it! Lovely to hear from you Thomas! Obsidian x

There was a lot of copying back in the day; like Darkseid and Thanos. Darkseid was the original, created by comic legend Jack Kirby. Then I believe Thanos was a fan-creation that riffed on Darkseid and Marvel bought the IP from the fan. 🪭 Obsidian x

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, been a bit busy recently 😅 Frieza is and was intended to be the epitome of evil - and brimming with both endless self-importance and an apathy to any subordinate form of life. Fun fact, Toriyama took inspiration from the real estate agents in Japan at the time - as the Japanese economy was experiencing a housing market crash. Lots of families were being evicted from their homes. That’s why Frieza’s business is conquering and selling planets (or real estate) to the highest bidder. Hope to hear from you again! Obsidian x
