SERVE SUNDAY + DEVO
Here's a short recap of our first-ever SERVE SUNDAY! We had three churches represented, several city-leaders, and volunteers from every age-group and walk of life. It was an awesome morning of serving in unity together!
Also, here's a 6-Day Devotional on the topic of SERVING:
“Serve In Love”
Day 1:
Scripture: "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to
give his life as a ransom for many." - Mark 10:45
Reflection: Jesus, the King of Kings, came to serve rather than be served. How does
this challenge your view of leadership and power?
Application: Look for an opportunity to serve someone today, especially in a way that
might seem "beneath" you.
Prayer: Lord, help me embrace your example of humble service.
Day 2:
Scripture: "Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should
wash one another's feet." - John 13:14
Reflection: Jesus shocked his disciples by taking on the role of a lowly servant. How
can you "wash feet" in your daily life?
Application: Perform an act of service for someone that requires humility on your part.
Prayer: Jesus, give me the courage to serve others as you did, without concern for
status.
Day 3:
Scripture: "Humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less." - C.S.
Lewis
Reflection: True humility comes from security in our identity as God's beloved children.
How secure do you feel in God's love?
Application: Meditate on your identity as God's beloved child. Let this fuel your service
to others.
Prayer: Father, help me grasp how deeply you love me, so I can freely serve others.
Day 4:
Scripture: "Here I am, Lord. Send me!" - Isaiah 6:8
Reflection: God often calls us to tasks beyond our own abilities. How open are you to
God's call to serve?
Application: Pray for God to show you where He wants you to serve, even if it seems
challenging.
Prayer: Lord, give me a willing heart to serve wherever you lead me.
Day 5:
Scripture: "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others." -
1 Peter 4:10
Reflection: God has uniquely gifted you to bless others. What are your gifts and how
can you use them to serve?
Application: Make a list of your gifts, talents, and experiences. Brainstorm ways to use
them in service.
Prayer: God, show me how to use my unique gifts to serve others and glorify you.
Day 6:
Scripture: "Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." -
John 13:34
Reflection: Jesus' service was motivated by love, not obligation. How can you serve
others from a place of love?
Application: As you serve today, focus on God's love flowing through you to others.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, fill me with your supernatural love as I serve others today.

I just saw this today and it is the first time I got a glimpse of what my friend Jeff Woodke went through during 6+ years in captivity. The men's group I attend is studying Psalms and I am going to share parts of this testimony with that group. So many Psalms express what he experienced.... Where are you God? Why don't you deliver me from my enemies? But his statement that it wasn't his faith or hope that brought him through, but love, is really special and profound. And his determination to forgive his enemies is a pearl of wisdom. I was telling the group last week that some of the attitudes expressed in the Psalms.... hatred of enemies, asking God to destroy them violently, etc. was one of the reasons that Jesus came into the world. The Israelites and the rest of the world needed a course correction. Jesus taught and showed them (and us) a new way of dealing with our enemies. Don't return evil for evil, but let love and forgiveness be your sword and shield. Jeff learned those lessons well under the most difficult of circumstances. I hope everyone who watches this is inspired as I am.

oh, such sweet beautiful Praise to our Beautiful Jesus!! ;) Larissa sent me here... plus you got that Harvy thing going on, wonderful and lovely dear people! ♥ I had a dream over 24 years ago that I wrote down. it was about a church in Arcata at a Grange Hall, not sure if that's where you are, but I remember it when I watched your first video after Jeff got Freedom!! little kittens in an ally crying.... a big grown cat with a huge mane around his neck looking at me. I dreamed it all night long, it started with water flooding everywhere, and news said it wasn't just here in Eureka. huge bag of cat food by my door when I looked outside at the muddy water flooding my backyard with mattresses floating. not sure why, or what it means but today I had to go to the dentist in Arcata, so I decided after to prayer walk the center where all the lost are. not sure why I'm telling you this, just maybe because God is moving all over the place, and maybe your church was the one in my dream. I go to LifeHouse Humboldt, and in my dream.... they all were there too, celebrating. at one point I was in a room surrounded by demons, they stabbed me, but it didn't hurt that much.... Then I lost my youngest son, maybe that was what the spear from the demon was about...so anyhoo, just had to tell you that! Jesus bless you beyond belief, and thank you for this video, my son Lewis said you had baptisms outside, and this is awesome to see!!! Thank you dears ;) ♥ †
