Brake Caliper Slide Pin Lubrication Tutorial
How to remove, clean and lubricate your brake caliper slide pins. Lubricating your slide pins is important as failure to do so may cause them to stick or even completely seize up in the caliper bracket bores which could cause uneven wear of your brake pads and/or rotors. The brakes may appear to work normally, but the pads will only be pushed onto the rotor from the piston side. This will give reduced braking ability and wear out the pad on the piston side much faster. The pads could also stay stuck against the rotor which could build up heat in the brakes and wear your pads down even quicker. This job can be done while the brackets are still on the vehicle but I removed them for clearer demonstration. Make sure you use a brake grease that’s suitable for caliper slide pins, like the one used in the video. If you find my videos helpful, please subscribe to my channel. Thank you !

As a Waffle house short order cook... I acknowledge that that is the correct way to repair a flat tire.
At what temp is it designed to open? What temp did it actually open?
They never held on rough oilfield roads.
Inside patch superior
instead of cutting you would have opened it 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks
Couldn’t that guy have used an old tire? lol that looked like a brand new tire🥴🥴
junk trash
those strips are only for temporary emergency patches regardless of what anyone says they put them through. dot would not consider a noodle plug to be a safe viable professional tire repair. only the patch from the inside with cement and sealant are proper patches. youtubers arent professionals to take advice from.
I explained that in the video description. I'm not giving advice, I'm just demonstrating how to use the kits.
Not cool f'n up a brand new 🛞... Ijs
Read the video description :)
@@knobsdialsandbuttons is that gonna show me you didn't "f" up a brand new 🛞??? I just seen it 👀
Buen video, gracias, cuantos ohms deve tener un sesor bueno
Add a bit of rubber cement to the strip plug and it works very well.
I've mushroom plugged lots of females in my time.
Good idea for a video, but bad execution by using AI text-to-speech narration. Thumbs down from me.
rubber-coated metal screw will work, but- must be fatter than the nail that was causing the flat...otherwise the threads of the repair screw will not " bite" the rubber tire to properly seal.
You could also install the repair screw so that it is a little below the flush level of the tire tread.
which he did in this video
Смазка для прокола ,обычно роль смазки выполняет клей , а жгут из за смазки схватиться ?
Need to turn handle 90 degree before pulling out ?
Not with this kit. Some kits recommend rotating it 90 or 180 degrees, but not all of them.
dipping it in rubber cement actually works well as lubrication when plugging. And then itll become a bonding agent as it dries.
True, but when I'm demonstrating repair kits I only use what comes with each kit. If it doesn't come with rubber cement, I won't use it.
Very risky provision ,it will not work in hot Tyre conditions, Tyre hole size will increase, but other will not., it's Temperley provision, only upto 60_80km, use inside patch. No external provision one.
Very interested 👊🤓
Sticky strip is tried and true. The mushroom in a new fad

Vacuum tire?
I just got home from an approximately 300-mile off-road trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon with 8 vehicles. One vehicle got a significant slice through the tread that was not repairable. Two other vehicles got smaller punctures that leaked air quickly. I had a repair tool kit similar to the first one. Both of those punctures were repaired quickly while on the vehicles and held through the rest of the trip.
I repaired tires for 85 years and this method has been the best
How old are you?
It must have been heartbreaking to intentionally puncture a brand new tyre just for this yt video.
That tyre was over 12 years old and wasn't roadworthy :)
This is NOT "Vulcanizing" of tyres. False misleading title! Shame
safetyseal.com/
They're called self-vulcanising repair kits. It's not a misleading title
They're called by who??? ...another ignorant or dishonest person or company. Takes a simple Google search to learn what vulcanization is. Shame. Vulcanization is a process of cross-linking rubber molecules chemically with organic/inorganic substance through the action of heat and pressure. Key words: HEAT and PRESSURE
great video , loved the footage of showing what happens inside the tyre, thanks for taking time to. make
Thanks for watching !
Any are okay if the tire was not run flat. None are okay if it was.
Awesome footage, especially inside the tire, I have plugged hundreds of tires this (number 1) way and it is fool proof, sometimes I use rubber cement and sometimes I don’t.
Thanks 👍
Absolutely amazing tutorial thank you so much for the top-notch videos the footage and the capture from inside the tire are absolutely amazing and convincing. Keep up the great job, thank you so much.
You're very welcome!
Got this today, plug is inside the wheel. Mechanic adviced me to buy a new 200€ tire. But I read that people just drive years with those plugs?
i will keep using the rubber strips over crap like this, far better and they last for the life of the tires
where can i buy that white paste lubricate ?
Good job, way to overcomplicate a simple repair. The old style plugs are all you need. Quick, easy and never an issue if used properly.
The Tire Plug Strip 100% .
But why was no rubber glue used as well ?
Because it's not part of the kit
у меня такая заглушка простояла 5 лет , классная штука
You idi*t !!! Why did you waste a new tire. This useless tire will pollute the nature. Just waste
Try repairing a really big holes with multiple mushroom plugs, can't be done, sticky strips for the win
What is the paste called that you are using please
Sticky strip because I KNOW THEY WORK.
Good job❤
Thanks !
And in 9 months they'll have a new baby tire!
lol, a little scooter tire :)
Best way in scantool showing misfires other ways not important
💯🙏🏻
Thanks !
Which do you carry in your glovebox?
The plug strip
Man, I just don’t think I would be willing to risk that on my bike. Tire is a hella lot cheaper than a hospital bill…..if you’re lucky.
I prefer the mushroom plugs....
Why change something that has worked for years? The second option kit looks more expensive and something new for people to buy. yup that’s the answer
