Nomadic Gaijin in Japan
Japan
Registrace 22. 10. 2019
I'm an American living happily in Japan for over 17 years! I travel Japan in a minivan exploring roads and sights that are often untraveled and love to find new things. I usually dont have a plan, just exploring and enjoying the journey. I'm also a partner on Twitch (NomadicGaijin) I have 2 dogs, my wonderful wife Shoko (Twitch Streamer Niharia) and an abundance of energy.
Two Weeks By Van in Japan's Less Travelled Island
I decided to hop in my van and spend 16 days exploring Japan as I head to the southernmost main island of Kyushu. It was my first time there so I wanted to find something or things interesting in each of the 7 mainland prefectures, what I found was such an incredible place that most people traveling to Japan don’t get to see.
I do Twitch live streams at places like this all the time:

A Day at a Dog Theme Park in Japan
zhlédnutí 660Před 6 měsíci
Doggy's Island is a really cool theme park that specializes in being a place that is completely accessible and fun for dogs. There are many places like this in Japan, but this happens to be one of the closest to us and we've been coming here for a few years. Dog restaurants, convenience stores, rentable vehicles and so much more! Doggys Island website (Japanese): doggys-island.jp Like my videos...

Why is it that there's a lot of stalking there?
Long live the Emperor.
I’ve watched all the journey and cycle videos and time and time again I’m so impressed with Ian. He’s truly a jack or all trades! He should have a channel!
This video is diamond! I wouldn't challenge Luke! Actually Shoko did a great job! 2:13 definitely what I would do🕺 also that word of wisdom 2:51 😂 Thank you so much for fun! 😆
Thanks man, what a nice video.
Im going tomorrow. My plan is to train to aomori from tokyo. From there is it better to rent car or local train bus?
I drove from Tokyo, there is the tanbo art station right there and car is definitely convenient, I don’t know if they have a local bus that goes there since the station exists. It’s pretty much in the middle of nowhere. I wonder what this year’s theme is, should be really nice though!
@@NomadicGaijin thanks. Ill probably rent a car from aomori since i want to go to Moya hills thunder luge while up there. On a side note, have you been to Gattan go railbike in gifu?
Ian is the logistics man
He is an absolute legend 😄
Tokyo Racetrack is amazing! Thanks for the tour. While my hometown track, Santa Anita Park, is beautiful, it's not as state-of-the-art as Tokyo Racetrack. I love them and Del Mar.
Never been to the Santa Anita one, I’ll have to check that one out! Del Mar is amazing 🤩
@@NomadicGaijin Santa Anita Park is beautiful place, but it also has a sad history tied to Japan. In 1942, during World War II, Santa Anita Park was turned into an Assembly Center for Japanese American U.S. citizens as a preparation for an internment Camp. The stables served as temporary residences during this time. These stables are now recognized as a historic site. Oh well, it is an interesting place.
Does it broadcast remote ID?
It does not, as at the time it wasn’t a requirement. However the mini 3 and 4 do, so I would recommend those series if flying in Japan. I currently use the mini 3 pro and love it
Younger Luke!! ❤ You are very good doing product promotion!! 😊
I really should do them for the company sometime
What’s this place call?

Cool vids. I live in Okayama. I wish you would of got that part right. You drove through Okayama to get to Hiroshima.
Yeah you are right, thanks for pointing it out! It even says Yamaguchi in the video 😅 since I do everything on my own there are times like these unfortunately but it helps to have the correction so I can adjust the video. Much appreciated!
OH YAY! I just commented on your last video about this! Thank you for your video! So cute and fun!
Yeah Doggy’s Island is a lot of fun, glad we could come and do a more in depth video of the place 🦮
the treadmill made me laugh out loud haha! Thank you for such an informative video! Its nice to have a personal account for people moving there! Thank you for your hard work in producing this video! I will definitely check out Doggy Island!
Happy to share it! Thanks for watching 😊 really love the dog culture in Japan
lol, he can’t be that scared if he can still hold the camera up 😂😂
I mean…the video doesn’t have the part where I record the message to my family, maybe I should have included that 😅
Beer pong at your place was ALWAYS epic!
Miss you guys ❤❤❤❤
People that hurt the siren
I bet the quality is much better than the RVs in the USA.
If you listen closely, you can hear the TV alert also
Video feels like a perfect love letter to the 2023 Kyuushu Trip streams! Glad to be a part of it and excited to see what you upload in the near future! ❤
Really amazed at all the awesome things I saw along the way and glad you were part of the journey too 🤩
😂 that’s a great man, did you try it too? 😂 put your head inside.
I wasn’t brave enough to
So very frustrating! Lol!
I lived in Fukui as an exchange student a long time ago. The tour of Ralph's House and the Fukui sightseeing bought back so many memories. Thank you
I think its such an underrated place, was so happy to show it off
One area you missed in your review of Fukui is Arawa Onsen.
@annesander61 never been! Also the dinosaur museum 😄 I’ll definitely be going back sometime soon though
I like the look of it. It feels modern and luxury
Yeah it can easily be fun to go with someone not so interested in the racing, as there is so much to do (and eat!)
Very well made video!! Finally got some time to watch the long awaited Kyushu Video and...... it was worth the wait!! Amazing drone shots and beautiful shrines with a touch of Medium Luck, what's not to like😍✨ お疲れ様でした!!🎉これからも美しい動画を私たちに届けてください!🙌😁✨
Yeah man, if it wasn't for you constantly reminding me in chat I dont think it ever would have happened haha! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching!!
This was amazing dude. Glad you were finally able to finish this. I truly enjoyed it. You’ve inspired me to finish my video now😅
Thank you for watching! Yeah like I mentioned in the members stream, I almost threw it out and just gave up multiple times. I’ve never had such a big project to handle. But really glad I did it, looking forward to yours next!
i wonder if your wish have come through?
Let’s hope so 😊
What a beautiful place and great people ❤ We need to go to Kyushu someday!
Let’s do this sometime!!
Ahh that song, I can already feel my sanity slipping away.
I’m sorry I couldn’t help it 😄
Yay, a new Nomadic CZcams video! Brilliant, as always. I think this will become one of my favourites! I even heard a little 'quiet nomad' voice at times! Great drone shots, especially over the white torii gate. Japan is just so beautiful, an amazing place to explore.
Because this video had so many exciting new places and was all so new to me, it felt a lot like the Noto video which I know is a fav for a lot of people. Thank you for watching and I hope you really enjoyed your trip here with the family!
Wow that's a nice area to visit. Awesome video, Nomadic.
It was such a beautiful place! Thanks for watching!
Love this! Im taking some notes for when i return to Kyushu!
Nathan, you should try these places!
Love your cameo in this video @ninjamonkeyguy! 😂

It was really great having you in the streams and then during the Patreon and yt members watch party! It took awhile but it’s finally out 😄
Great streamer with a great community and a great video!
Great comment! Thank you for watching 😄
I've been hearing rumors about this Japanese island called Kyushu. This video sheds a lot of light on it! It looks wonderful and I can't wait to go someday
Thank you for watching Viceroy! Yeah I hope you can visit someday it’s really nice
Thank you so much for editing this trip! it was worth the wait! Loved it It was my 1st Nomadic van adventure, and enjoyed it so much at the time! it is lovely to see the edited trip and the sites we didn't see in your livestreams! You went to so many gorgeous places and took some great footage! will definitely use this video to plan my future Kyushu trip!
I’m really glad you liked it, and encouraged me to finish it! I didn’t even think about that, it was your first van adventure with the channel 🤩 so happy you can get some inspiration for a future Kyushu trip!
Amazing video and journey ! Thanks for sharing 😀
