Use hall effect sensor SS49E to fix your ebike throttle!
This is a quick demonstration that all you really need for a working ebike throttle is the hall effect sensor SS49E. It is a bilinear switch 3v-6.5vdc that works by sensing its position relative to magnetism from one mounted on the handle. It's three leads are the source, gate, and drain or its inpute, ground, and signal. With just these three wires you have a working throttle!
I hope this video helps and there are more on the way. Please like & subscribe.

I repair and replace hall effect sensor SS41F in 48v ebike motor
zhlédnutí 6KPřed rokem
This video is a follow up of the one I had posted about the motor rewinding. I show an example of my own endeavor of repairing the motor, and more specifically this highlights how I had done the hall sensors. The hall sensors I used were SS41F. I bought this on amazon for 40 pieces for 12 dollars. The SS41F is a bi-directional latching hall effect sensor with a 4.5Vdc to 30Vdc range. I also hav...
What You Need to Know to REPAIR RE-WINDING ebike BLDC Motor

This is an upload of my having done a RE-WINDING repair for a 48V 1500W Voilamart eBike BLDC or Brushless DC direct drive hub motor. The motor has 51 poles with 3 Phases. Originally it had 26AWG 28AWG thickness enameled copper wire. I describe the best way to go about doing this project so you the viewer can learn from my example first before your own attempt. Anyone interested in watching how ...
re: DIY Build 72v Lithium Battery Pack made from old 18650 cells

I didn't like how the other video had turned out so I disassembled the pack, grinded down the edges, and rebuilt it using the proper materials. There was a huge difference when I used the correct nickel strip and battery holder parts. I was able to finish this project in a day when the other time took a whole week, granted I gained experience from my first attempt. It's 72v - 84v fully charged ...
Making a 72v ebike battery pack from old used 48v battery packs.

Hi! In this video I have 3 no longer used 48v battery packs that I did not want just sitting and wasting away, and so I assemble them together into a single 72v battery pack. It is 20 series and 8 parallel which equals 84v28Ah full capacity. I disassembled the 48v battery packs and checked each individual cell and charged them to a 4.1-4.2 range as well. This was not shown but is very important...
How to wire a 7 wire 2 speed single phase AC washing machine motor

Much of the information I had found was from physicsforum.com especially from a user named Jim Hardy. This is how I wired and got running the AC 2speed single phase AC motor that I salvaged from the washing machine. I am only a hobbyist and am open to being corrected on whatever potential errors I have made. It is a 7 wire motor that I understand to have 3 wires being start and 4 wires being ru...
EBIKE HUB Motor Modification Phase Wires Replacement Thicker Gauge DIY
zhlédnutí 21KPřed 2 lety
Hello this is my very first video out of hopefully many others soon to be posted. I had noticed one day that my 48v 1000W ebike motor had stopped and started and wasn't functioning properly. Taking a closer look, there were cuts and slices up and down the length of the phase wires. I then made this project which showcases my own work of replacing the wires for thicker gauge ones. The process is...

i have the same motor ,we enlarged the slightly the hole through the axle we removed the silicon from the wire and recovered it with heat shrink as its thinner than silicon now we have air craft grade 8 guage phase wires abd changed hall sensor wires to thinner and stronger type, the motor now runs on 84 volts with 150 amp controller

Hi, great video. I am replacing a Hall effect sensor (49E) on my e bike LCD Display / Thumb Throttle. The problem is that the Hall effect was badly welded and suddendly fell and currently do not know which cable color goes where (only one I know is that the middle cable goes in the midle). Am I risking to burn the display if I wrongly weld the other 2 cables or given the voltage could not be a problem in your opinion??

Odds are about zero the cells are similar in anything. My guess is it works for a while but soon becomes so unbalanced it’s not usable. I have experienced the same type of thing.

The 5 small "phase" wires are actually the hall sensor wiring, no reason to make them thicker gauge since they dont are not powering the motor. They are only for monitoring the motor position. No harm done by replacing these wires but better to just use the space for thicker phase wires (the 3 thicker wires)

One question: Are all cells have the same amp? Does bms work with differnt amp of cells

    • @jH100garage
      @jH100garage Před rokem

You want each battery cell to have the same values. The best for 18650 batteries is for them to be within the 3.9-4.2 volts range. Otherwise if one individual cell is faulty and has a big difference between it and the others, it can lead to problems. That's why it's suggested to buy them all new but what I did was recycle these cells while throwing away ones that didn't fit with the rest.

Super Great job as it shed light on the color codes functions. As I understand it from other research; I can see that Blue =Hi Speed ; White = Low Speed; Orange =Neutral ; RED = Start Winding; Yellow =Capacitor; Purple/Wht = ( i'm guessing Agitate or Spin)?? I would like to ask What is Black? Was Black powered through Timer originally?? Pending Direction I imagine; Black,Red,White, and LIVE wire.(Blue added here if you want high speed). Purple and Yellow to Capacitor(I didnt know I could do that), Orange and Neutral wire to thermal switch GE is stingy with the diagrams; Any advice you provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks again
