Good way to raise weapons skill level by dual wielding two different types of weapons at a time, best to do this with special troops isntead of regulars as double wielding weapons hinder drastically RT, so for example at the start only do this with Canopus original set up of axe (dagger) and bow (crossbow) and Denim as Rune fencer with short sword and crossbow or bow, finishers will come on handy for short and long range later on. about crafting take in mind that any crafted item, except i think baldur gear will grant a penalty of -1 RT for each piece, so only use them in your special/speedy characters. (baldur already has a penalty of luck -1 so guess two penalties are a bit overboard to be aceptable) Giving Catiua the spirit surge is not a good idea, she will go to the front lines and most likely be the target of all enemy's attacks and will abandon your fight before dying, leaving you missing a important healer. i also advise to remove cudgels too, as once she reach the finishers she will AGAIN go to the front lines and pretend to finish off bosses with that, give her a shied and remove cudgels, she is the healer and will do very good protected on the back lines. AI is dumb AF like always even though she start by saying "leave mage and healers on the back because we are vulnerable for attacks" at the start of the game, she totally forgets all that once you give her tools to fight.

i play all the TO games since they came out in the PSX, and after playing the PSP version, i think the best way to play the game is first Neutral, then Chaos and end with Loyal routs, because the characters you get in loyal are just too OP for the game to be a challenge anymore. It's only my opinion though.

i used, Sword Mastery, MP Regen, Double Shot (the melee one) and Phalanx, and 2 (1 AoE, 1 Missile) offensive magic level 3s, with healing and Element on hit.

Stun is op. Charm is easy to snap out of. Definitely using and abusing stun in my brigade...

The stats are lovely. I like this character sheets so much they blend together magnificently. Almost OP when you get cush in chapter 4.. Think luck is crits, munny, items and the like. Luck is a hard stuff to manage wish the info button explains more? I like even when the stats are hitting 100. Even pennies go a long way even with 100 stat bones backing ya. Still think luck is like a secret accuracy? More likely to hit crits at 100% plus give you some extra dimes when your hitting guys. My theorey..

Where do you get the frost tome from? I use a similar sharon/yahna build except with Alain as tank.

My best formation was thieve (with the extra pp accesory for extra safety), Clive and Berenice/any other dps unit like aubin/bruno or even Josef if you want higher one round damage

Cleric is not an efficient pick for a DODGE TANK, you will get far more effectiveness out of a cleric in a block tank build.

For the first build for clive I would personally have two different True Thrusts, one with Scout (not prioritise scout) and one with flying (also not prioritise) im not sure if they need to be first in the queue but thats how I have them. That way if theres a scout or flier he'll true thrust otherwise he'll proceed with normal with assaulting lance. Thanks for all the content! :)

For the first one I would use Alain on the front, because depending on the enemy, if they can kill hodrick instantly the could possible hit clive, which I definitely don't want For Clive I would use 1- true thrust - scout - lowest HP 2 - true thrust - flying - lowest HP 3- assaulting lance - lowest HP - lowest physical DF He's the only one that can hit scout and flying on this team soo I want him doing this when he can, the way you have it I believe if the enemy have two scouts on the Frontlines, he would hit the first one ( probably kill ) but when it's the time to use his second AP he would try to use assaulting lance to recover one pp and maybe miss the scout For the second one I would remove the witch and put lex ( or any fighter), is really difficulty for flying units to be hit without true strike and the most consistent type of true strike present as a opponent in the game are hunters, with arrow cover lex can protect both the cleric and the feathersword from arrows, as a leader he can also reduce damage from ranged assists. ( But you would lose the flying mobility) Third one - again, if I have a flying unit, I usually want a fighter with arrow cover Forth one- same thing with the first one, if my only front line is a armour unit, I risk them being easily killed by warriors or mages and my backline being exposed Overhaul I think you teams are good and it's just a preference in play style, you have units that would have trouble with very specific stuff but you can just make sure that they don't enter bad fights. While I like units that can kinda deal with everything but not as fast and always taking a little bit of damage. Also it sound like you prefer 1 front and 2 back while I prefer the opposite Sry for the long text or if I said anything wrong

Something to note with your wild card setup is that your witch was unable to use the ice conferral because they didnt have enough pp. You would have had to put the lapis pendant on them for them to use it.

I'm muddling around and experimenting, so generally I like to have a tank in front (be it dodge tank or armored) and a damage dealer and support in back.

Ironically my Clann is a Mage Knight and my Anna os a warrior and they are probably my two stringest units.

My main teams rn are Alain/Clive/Travis, With Travis as dodge tank. Travis dodges like 99% of attacks and Alain got a skill that tanks one attack for him in case it gets through. And Clive is just damage. Hodrick/Chloe/Rolf, good for Flying/Thief enemies. Hodrick barely takes damage so Chloe can keep him topped up while dealing damage with Rolf. Plus Rolf is good for ranged assist. And final team rn is Josef/Lex/That one housecarl you get after the first town (forgot his name). This is kind of a "throw away" team so to speak to level Lex and the third guy. Lex is pretty good tank and does decent damage, but most everything is coming from josef, who also heals if Lex gets too low. And the third guy is extra damage and has parting blow. I just barely got enough renown to recruit units, so I haven't had a chance to get too far into the team building yet, but this set up is working for me so far.

Make sure each formation leader is a mage or healer or archer so you can provide support from ranged, you can battle much higher level foes

Some of my favorite formations after two runs 1. Cav leader, Alain, and a warrior. Alain uses lean edge to heal (it’s better then you think), the cav clears out infantry while the warrior counters armor, and at level ten helps damage everything as well. 2. Other variations on one such as cav + tank (thief is the best early on), and an anti armor unit. 3. Josef leader with the magic sword in back, Hoplite in front, and a griffin. Griffins are great for countering Cavs but can be hard to run before unlocking 4 slots, so Josef helps by being a damage dealer, healer, and cav movement leader all the while once. A very powerful squad with few weaknesses.

Firstly, congrats on the upcoming baby to both your wife and you. Best experience as a new dad myself is to just do what you believe is the best and things will turn out as they should for the most part. Even if you stumble from time to time, understand that you have the family's best interest and heart and that alone is the right move. As for the video, Clive and Travis combo was my go to from the very first time I played and I never looked back. Chloe was exactly who I added for a little bit of heal once I unlocked the third slot. It's such a fun combo!

So far we only have the demo and you can buy as many generics as you want.. Which means as many griffin knights as you want haha

I had a Fighter, Sellsword, Griffon rider team. The Fighter would protect the Griffon rider from a arrow which procs the Sellsword's counter. The other team I have is: Hoplite, Sellsword, Wizard(?) Hoplite would protect the squishy wizard which, again, procs Sellsword's counter. If I went four members per unit, it would be: Sellsword, Griffon rider, Fighter, Hoplite.

I personally ran a semi-pure group of formations on Expert. 1) Alain, Sharon, Yahna and a Shaman. Used this more as a magic focussed group with the help of Runic sword. Yahna was buffing Alains magic attack by an additional 50% and gave the Shaman a Familiar choker to provide another 50% magic buff. One shots most stuff. You also get the Valor skill Teleport. Extremely useful, since this isn't one of the fastest in terms of mobility. So my cavalry could just move ahead and then Alain could teleport. 2) The angel + 3 generic griffon riders. Since the angel you can recruit after collecting 30 divine shards comes with 2 AP + 2PP and a weapon and armor that provides evasion/crit rate. I gave her a silk scarf + warrior Emblem and put her in the front row. This team basicly only gets hit by other flyers or Hunters. Everything else gets mauled on the first encounter. 3) Hobrik, Auch, Chloe (runic spear) and Generic Wizard. Overall good for picking off surviving teams, so others didn't use too much stamina 4) Travis, Rolf + 2 generic hunters. Could deal with the flyers and be the assist attacker. Works like a charm. If they did get attacked, travis could steal the the PP from the frontrow so it couldn't defend. This way the hunters could wreck everything 5) Josef, Clive, Adel and Generic Cleric. Tbh it doesn't matter who you put with Josef. He's just overpowered for the demo and pretty much used him as a teleport point.

My expert carry build was lucky coin/ silken thief tank leader, a back line Crit/damage Housecarl with the crush action but have the skill only target armor/cavalry because smash is just better against everything else, and finally a back line flame bow archer that also has the pursuit skill item equipped, so the archer can double attack in a round and the second attack usually burns for twenty. The archer setup can basically solo flying teams alone and this team build can be fully setup in about a hour. This team only real weakness is true strike and assist damage but in the current demo nothing really does damage to this team outside of special enemies and this team has coverage on nearly every enemy type.

This game sucks. I’m down the four characters. Why am I supposed to do? I don’t believe in the permanent death system it ruins everything does have a permanent death system. Oh wait, you can make troops in lots of troops.
