Everything has stayed the same on our end. I still see the timer up to 5 seconds in the lower right corner of Pose Cap. However, a helpful tip is to search for a pose online and then use Posecap to snap a picture of the image with the pose. For example, search "cheerleader cheering" and then use Posecap to snap the photo. Apple still needs to update its ability to capture hands and fingers quickly, but the rest should work okay. If you still can't see the timer, please send us a screenshot of your Posecap to our email or support portal. We'd like to investigate since we've made no changes on our end.

Once you make a change in Post mode 🎬, the image is converted into 2D so 3D changes aren’t visible. You can tell by seeing if there is a small icon in upper left of each shot in the shot list. If there is it’s a 2D image. you can revert it in post mode, or duplicate the shot, to see it in 3D again.

Hey there, thanks for your support, we’re a small company trying to stay focused (Previs Pro is our only product), so it really matters. As to your question, we’re wondering why you need a depth map as opposed to our existing 3D export which has all objects in scene and positioning data?

@@PrevisPro Thanks a lot for the reply.The reason I'd like to request that feature is that I use Previs Pro over Blender or some other 3d programs to do storyboarding is primarily the reason of speed--- 1. Previs Pro allow me to do shot to shot variation easily without fiddling with keyframes in other 3d softwares. It saves me time. 2. i can do better and more precise 3d modelling style storyboarding with desktop level 3d softwares, but that would take a lot more time. Whereas, if i could use Previs Pro to block out the idea, and export SB images along side depth map, and pass it to other Stable Diffusion pipelines on ipad (using DrawThings App or remote desktop that runs proper Stable Diffusion), It really serves me time. Storyboarding, in essence, is a matter of proxy of the final product. If we could save more time in the process, it increases the ROI lol.🤣

It’s on our short list for sure, top 3 even. We kept hoping the underlying PoseCap AI technology would improve, grow we picked Apple’s horse there and they sort of abandoned it. We’re trying to figure out the best way forward, and might end up building our own pose adjustment sub-menu. .

Not perfect, of course, but the more specific you make the underlying actor model the better. and prompt-casting helps a lot. For example if you’re thinking of a Obama (or Brad Pitt or whatever) like guy for a role, you can always say something like, “Obama’s brother on the couch” instead of “A man on the couch.” Also, SD3.0 just dropped and hoping high quality lifts all boats. Goal with Previs Pro is to let you have a playground that’s the 3D ground truth, and add external AIs as and when they make sense.

@@PrevisPro Thanks a lot for the reply. Looking forward to the new realm of possibilities. I used to subscribe for a year but left for Blender for more flexibility and ability. I really wish there's an official Blender plugin that would allow us to prepare asset and char rigs for Previs Pro pipeline. The better support of external resources, combined with the new AI grading will make Previs Pro a killer.

Someday, but not this year I'm afraid. We're a small focused company and it would stop us from updating for at least six months, and then slow down future development as our devices to test against would greatly expand. A used M1 iPad Air is pretty cheap and makes a fabulous Previs Pro device. If filmmaking is your business, I'm sure it'll pay for itself on your first day of shooting. I'm really sorry we can't promise it, but better to truthful than pretend it's "coming soon."

Glad to have you on board! Yes, currently if you want to share a project between your phone / ipad / mac you’ll need to export it (to iCloud? Dropbox?) and can open it there from the other device. I’d add a version # to each export to keep things straight. We’re working on a more seamless solution.

You can create customizable characters! ReadyPlayer.me is built in, actorcore.reallusion.com/3d-character is compatible, and if you’re technical you can use reallusion’s tools to make your own. Thank you@@PrevisPro but the Rapid Compact app seems to offer you scanning of props. I need to scan rooms. I prefer using the actual location as my storyboard. It's just hard when the rooms all look smeared. The quality looks great in the Polycam app itself, it just doesn't look recognizable when I import it to Previs Pro. It downscale it a lot, and the resolution looks very low. It's a great feature, it's just not fully there yet.

Yes, though that device only has 3gb of RAM which is the lower bound. RAM dictates how many images and objects you can import. But an easy workaround is to divide your film into a few projects.

We recommend any model that has at least 4 GB RAM. The latest iPad Air works fantastic. @@AdityaTestarossa

It’s a setting to help people get back to 0 or 90 degrees. In the preferences “…” menu, there is a gear in the upper right, that will take you to app settings where you can disable the snap to. Thanks!

@@iansmith8900 Thanks! Another question, the manual focus function seems not to work all that well. I have two characters on separate focus plane, and even at the most open aperture, 85mm lens 35mm sensor, changing the near and far focus seems to do nothing as both remain in focus, including the background. Any idea why?

Right now there is no movement within the app. We're working on a solution but it's quite tricky. We'll get there.

3D Props works best for props from Sketchfab. Within Previs Pro, you can go to Add Props > Structural and find many different cut-outs and walls with windows. You could also create a custom one in a graphics program and import it.

@@PrevisPro I did. I downloaded a window and tried to put it in the wall in Previs Pro and it did nothing.
