I believe this well made and interesting video could get more traffic if it has a better, more descriptive title (say Border towns or Friendship towns of China and Vietnam) and eye-catching thumbnail picture with an equally eye-catching title.
Really great video!!!

Great its a beautiful place
Well, well before any Westerners arrived in Sotheast Asia, the Vietnamese fought against China for independence after hundreds of years of Chinese rule. Because of the long period of Chinese rule, Vietnam has a strong Chinese cultural imprint and before the French Indochina colonial administration introduced Latin letters for writing in Vietnamese, this language was written in "Chu Nom", a set of Chinese characters adapted for use in Vietnam.
Chu Nom is completely extinct now?? 😃😃😃😃😃
@@John77Doe From daily use in VN? Yes. However, there is the Nom Foundation, working to keep alive the use of Chu Nom script. www.nomfoundation.org/
@@John77Doe not yet. There is a Viet ethnic community close to border in China side still using Chu Nom because they did not learn Latin script while Vietnam changing.
@@trivatha Good to know that it is still a living writing system somewhere. 😁😁😁😁😁
You are wrong on the French one, they enforced the new Vietnamese-Latin alphabet, not introducing it. It was invented the by western's missionaries back in 17th century.
I like your voice.Lovely from Viet Nam. 😚😚😚😚
hope to visit Viet Nam again soon :)
great production value love your channel :)
Even though I went to Hanoi and 昆明as tourist seven years ago but never thought to visit the border, I hope that I will visit the border someday after watching your video prior to my Vietnam and China expire in 2016. And I have no problem for both languages either. Thanks for your historic lesson I just learn.

China really wants to build a new railway from Hekou to Hai Phong to speed up goods transportation but it seems impossible with bureaucracy politic system in Vietnam. The presence railway system was built since French colonial and nothing changed after that. Imagine how Vietnam will be without French colonial.
Don’t trust the Chinese Belt & Road Initiative. Vietnam is better off with it’s old rail system. 😃😃😃😃😃😃
