I am going to redirect this channel to have more of an emphasis on motorcycling. There will be rides, gear, and some informational stuff as well. I will be keeping the previous videos intact here.
My Leather Motorcycle Gear

I wanted to keep with more traditional style gear, instead of the newer synthetics available. I have found these pieces to be pretty well waterproof right "out of the box," so I can't complain!

Just some clips of some farmland from a little ride I did this morning. There's quite a lot of nice farmland out this way, mostly corn. Not much for tobacco this way. The weather today was about 95*F, so I only rode for 3 hours. It was getting a little too hot in the leathers. Just took the KZ out on some dirt roads. Unfortunately, all of it was on state forest land that is patrolled, but there's also vehicles and pedestrians, so there's no sense pushing the bike. Shinko 230 Tour Master tires. I've had pretty good luck with these tires, even with water crossings and getting up some rocky hills. When I first bought the tractor, I noticed even trying to lift lighter things on the boom pole, that the tractor wouldn't be able to lift. The '55 JD 50 my dad bought when I was just a kid. It has been sitting for 10 years since it last ran. The mice had taken their toll, and rotted out the radiator core. Started with a truck with no working electrical, up to running for 20 seconds or so. Quick video. Your friendsly reminder to work things out yourself, don't allow anyone to touch the vehicle no matter how much you trust them. My first bike was an FZR 1000 on which I learned to ride on similar backroads. It was huge fun although the bike wasn't suited for it haha.

What’s that plate that your useing to lift the motor out called?
Universal engine lift plate. You can find them at most auto parts stores
Them two arms that got the valve at the bottom, you can get at them through the big drain plug hole.
Please steam clean or pressure wash that poor old tractor and shoot at least a coat of gray primer on it.😢I have two 8Ns that need the pumps cleaned and serviced and I am not looking forward to it. I drained and flushed one tractor, and then filled with new fluid and now the hydraulics are real slow so I probably got some sludge mixed up in the pump.
Any updates on this?
I ended up having a hell of a time getting it to run reliably. The first set of points I got in it had a bad rivet, so one of the points was cocked off to the side. The replacement $60 John Deere points were just as bad, they arced up in 10 minutes and quit running. I ended up having to shim the point cam arm for the tractor to run again. After that, the points adjustment screw repeatedly backed off, which I didn't know. So it would throw the point gap way off. It took about 20 people telling me it was a carb issue, a fuel pump issue, an intake seal leak, etc. Every single one of those issues was tested, and none of them fixed it. Since the points issue has been sorted, I have been using the tractor to mow. The transaxle leaks fluid something fierce, that needs to be addressed

nice setup. We camped for years in the back of whatever Toyota 1/4 ton I had and a 2 man tent for the kids. My wife would likely prefer the Volvo. Condensation got pretty thick inside the cap without some ventilation. Like dripping thick :)

The hardtop was last registered in '87. I'm hoping to get the wheels freed up to get this thing on my buddy's lift so I can see how bad it is. The body is decently straight, doors don't bind, but the underside probably isn't going to have any original metal left by the end of this. I am sure I will regret this shortly haha

That most certainly sounds like me lol. I got rid of a few hundred of my older videos, I have been doing this for a longgggg time. Trying to make better quality content, but CZcams isn't as easy for us smaller channels as it used to be
You never know unless you dive in and give it a shot, you're definitely going to learn a lot from this!
Thanks! The wife is starting her new work contract Monday so I will have the funds to order some parts. Unfortunately, we just got a foot and a half of snow today, so the Mustang recovery is going to be an issue now

Hey I’m thinking about getting an xc70. Do you thinking the sleeping setup is long enough for someone that is 6’ tall?
I am 6'2", it is definitely long enough. From the tailgate to the top of the folded down seat is about 6 feet. You can have another foot or so of space in front of that before the front seat, so if you had enough stuff shoved down in that gap, you could have even more room.

That flywheel area is where it was stuck. Your best bet is to remove all the tins after putting the heads back on and wash out all the smuts around the flywheel and the cylinder fins.
You may well be right. That was the only cover I didn't remove, but the cylinders needed to be checked anyways. I will be doing that tomorrow. Thanks for the input!
