Huge beach boys fans here. Especially deep cuts that most people don’t even know. Here’s a set: California Girls, Heroes and Villains, Okie from Muskogee, Sloop John B, help me Rhonda, and Good Vibrations. Could also throw in run run run if there were time. This the set they could’ve played at Monterey. They took a lot of criticism for not playing there and everyone thinking they were done. They didn’t play because Brian was having his issues and they were sorting things out with a SMiLE album. Most bands at Monterey played about five or six songs. That set would’ve been killer and I think they would’ve been the best band there, with all due respect to the performances of Janis, Joplin and Jimi Hendrix.

I don’t class this as beach boys! Traitor Mike Love don’t make the beach boys. Without Brian Wilson, Al Jardine David Marks it is a tribute band at best!

You can see and hear Jan's disappointment when he talks about med school 😭 I think it took a lot of courage for him to get up there. I enjoy seeing him so if they had to lip sync sometimes it's ok with me. Much respect to him and to Dean for being by his side all those years.
