You're not rebuilding it if you're not putting everything into a chemical dip to remove the corrosion and fuel deposits. Spray carb cleaner only removed superficial deposits.

Every crank bolt you've ever taken out you've done this way? Guess you've never worked on a counter clockwise rotating engine.

My 2009 Lacrosse is very similar. I removed the rear bolt holding the taillight 1:36 on and I still can't get it off. Glad it was simple and easy for you, I'm stuck and your video is no help

I have been trying all day to budge the bolt on a 2014 Holden Colorado i will try this tomorrow when you put the balancer back on how do you tighten that nut back up with out engine turning over

Use penetrant, not WD-40 lubricant. WD also makes the penetrant.

Pretty Much All Nissans are the same going back to the 60's i hear but you'll need Regular Pulley Puller with TWO M6-1.25 x 80mm long bolts. Will get the crank off no problem. Did 2 of them in the last 3 weeks. 1 Was a badly abused 205k Xterra with water leaking everywhere. THey come off Easy once crank bolt is broken. Do Not Use a 3 Jaw Puller. NIssan put the 2 little M6 bolt holes on either side of the crank for a reason. Watch the video i posted they're simple to get off

I have been trying to get the harmonic balancer pulley loose on this 2012 Malibu for 15 minutes. I decided to look up a video and this is the first one I came across. Thank you so much I had that sucker loose in 3 seconds flat. I'm not even qualified to be a shade tree mechanic, I just know how to turn bolts. This is a wonderful suggestion and solution.

Each side has two black covers to cover the glass bolts. You are missing three pieces. On later beetles they used a bellows type cove on each side. Search the junkyards, they look nicer.

The ford fiesta has a dual clutch transmission not a cvt, I have had much success repairing the dct transmissions in the focus and fiesta unlike the altimas cvt, I have come to a realization that if it has internal cvt problems your only option is replace the transmission. I get stuck working on them ALOT being that I run a auto mechanic business.

Good video. I'm having the same issue on a 2008 Pontiac G5 with a steady amber check engine light on that has broken wires on the connector to the Fuel Tank Pressure Senor. The engine code was P0452. I know where the four jack points are on the pinch points. I have a floor jack and need to jack up the rear to get to the connector. The pinch points are small so I'm not able to use my floor jack and place a jack stand at the same pinch point. My question is where did you place your jack stands to lift up the rear of your vehicle? Thanks

I have tried nearly everything to get my pulley bolt off, it will not budge. I'm not sure what to do now.

I watched lots of videos on how to remove the crank pulley bolt but I never seen a vedio on how to install and torque the bolt, the pulley on this Nissan is not pressed on it should slide out you may need a rubber hammer to tap the pulley out.

I've done the HB on 2 Xterras and used those "little" holes. They're just fine. Then I used plumber's tape (thin, perforated metal that's easy to bend by hand) to attach them to the puller, and off they came. I didn't break anything at all. And I didn't need to use the starter, either.

Did you program the valve body at the Dealership?

Doesn't work on a counter clowise turning crankshaft!
