Ian stalled over my area the first several days of October 2022 here in Pennsylvania. Ian gave me 4.5 inches of rain, but it occurred over 5 days, so there was little or no flooding in my area.

That morning, a squall line moved through my area, giving me a 51 mph wind gust. There were Severe Thunderstorm Warnings across my area, with even a Tornado Warning to my south. A few hours later, I got snow showers with 0.2 inch falling.

I saw over 2 inches of rain that day.

The following night, the storms gave me a 54 mph wind gust.

I got a 51 mph wind gust from those storms.

That day the temperature reached 82 degrees for me.

I got about 2 inches of rain from Fay.

Isaias gave me over 7 inches of rain and a peak wind gust of 55 mph. There were also a couple Tornado Warnings.

I had a wind gust of 64 mph that day.

Orlena gave me 28 inches of snow/sleet.

I had an Ice Storm Warning that night, but the significant icing never materialized. Only minor icing ended up occurring. A storm a couple days later gave me 6.9 inches of snow.

I had wind gusts 40-50 mph from those storms.

That day I had a peak wind gust of 55 mph.

Those storms gave me a 50 mph wind gust.

I saw 3 inches of rain from Henri.

I had 10 inches of rain Ida. There were many Tornado Warnings in my county, with even a Tornado Emergency in the lower part of my county. I was north of the Tornado Warnings, but there was flooding everywhere. Thankfully my basement didn’t flood. Quite miraculous too. Schools were closed the next day due to flooding.

Winter Storm Gail dropped 12.5 inches in my area. There was more snow from that storm than the 2019-2020 season as a whole (6.3 inches fell during the entire 2019-2020 season). This was also my first double digit snowfall since Winter Storm Toby on March 21, 2018, which gave me 19 inches.

I saw about 2-3 inches of rain from that nor’easter.

Winter Storm Garrett gave me 5 inches of snow.

I saw just over a half inch of snow the next morning.

I saw 5.7 inches from Kenan. The morning of Jan 29, 2022, the temperature was down to 9 degrees for me with a -10 degree wind chill, and by the afternoon, it only reached 14.

That day I saw my first snowflakes of the season.

That day was a day of extremes. At 3am Dec 23, it was 62 degrees for me, then barely 24 hours later, it was down to -2 degrees for me (-21 wind chill). It was a 64 degree drop in less than 24 hours. Rain changed to snow by noon, and was in the teens within a couple hours (resulting in a flash freeze), and was down to -2 the next morning, which was lower than expected, and Christmas Eve, the temperature only made it to 8 degrees for me, my first single digit high temperature since Jan 6, 2018, when it hit 9. I received 0.3 inch of snow from this storm. I also had wind gusts 40-50 mph. I was already on Winter break from college, but my brother’s school district (he’s in high school) was scheduled to have school Dec 23, but made a decision to close entirely for the day, giving them an extra day of Winter break.

Had to shovel a lot of snow :)

When i lived in Buffalo Ny region , we had big snow storms every winter . so bad too dangerous or impossible to drive a vehicle . I'd put on a backpack, cross country ski on sidewalks, through fields and woods, along the roads and streets to get provisions, food and supplies miles away .
