Is dsa or coding recuired for SRE engineer ? If yes how much coding and which dsa topic is required?
Yes! SREs are Software Engineers who excel at system knowledge and solve problems related to it with a SWE mindset. I don't know depends on the company maybe. I have shared my experience here about those companies at which I interviewed. But expect basic level of programming rounds for this role.

From an university graduates expectations are not really high. Though you are expected to dissect basic bugs in the system. You are expected to well versed with linux systems. And you will learn with such oncall rotations. Don't worry.

Dude, honestly this was one of the best videos of this kind. Usually, these videos are filled with bluffer and bragging, some even start the video in English, have the title in English, but switch back and forth from English to Hindi halfway so I'm left hanging xd.

You never know what you'll face..you learn as you go..felt these lines last month when i found a way to use git without the .git folder cuz the .git folder was bringing down 5 instances after migration from SVN😁

Good content @SREwala ! Just a question - Can we not simply iterate over the file iterator returned by open function call which will let us read the file line by line ( to handle the large file use-case )? I agree chunkify will help handle scenarios where in size of a single line is more than the available main memory but then we will have to adjust the other logic as well.

Hi Indra, how are the interview structures different for SWE SRE and SE SREs? Is it like core DS AGLO for SWE SRE and mainly systems, networking and other stuffs for SE SRE?
That is true. For SWE-SRE there will be few rounds of coding + systems. For SE-SRE it would be focused on systems more.

Great one, learned a lot! I had this question - when you chunkify 1024 bytes, isn't there a chance that there may be a partial trailing IP address at the end of the chunk and then the remaining partial IP address at the start of next chunk? Do we need to handle these cases separately?
