2:06 I think it makes sense. I remember people on tumblr getting jealous when they found out that shrimps can see colours we can't and canines can taste water in a way we can't.
Not gonna lie, I love these silly little ideas you and your friends come up with, it makes this little fandom feel more normal and more welcoming just because of little ideas like this one, I find a lot of ranking and list videos from this franchise tend to be more serious or more specific on what they’re based on (top 10 episodes, ranking certain seasons, etc) It’s videos like this that break that mould a bit which makes this feel more like any other fandom in my eyes, not just something certain types of people get into, I really appreciate that and I thank you so much for making videos like this one
There’s a part of me that wants to see a version of Lost Treasure with Kerry Shale's Topham. Considering how angry Topham got in that movie, and how Kerry Shale handled angry Topham, imagine how intimidating Topham could have sounded.
It kind of makes sense though with his curious personality, like how he wanted to explore the world in the first season. I think it’s pretty in character if I do say so myself
In this fandom there are 3 Alberts on the MSR. 1 is a Sir Handel with a different shade of blue who is a charming and hard working lad, the 2nd is the same thing but is an arrogant, reckless and stubborn little turd like Smudger and Stanley who dies, and the 3rd is just like with the 2nd one but is a crimson red Hunslet built Narrow Guage engine.
0:07 and 17:03 really crack me up I've never laughed this hard at the Thomas fan video honestly. Overall characters and people who share the same name is definitely interesting. Although I'm surprised you didn't mention Patrick the cement mixer and Patrick the Culdee Fell engine but oh well they're not as important as the Bert's. Keep up the good work Adam!
You all ready got me liking this video now that you made a SpongeBob edit with the faces of Bertie, Bert, and Iron Bert added onto Squidward, Patrick and SpongeBob.
What a great ranking this was. When this video was announced, I’ve been trying hard to count many berts as I can. What a challenge that was. Great job! 👍🏻👍🏻
In my AU, Albert is the one that fell off the old iron bridge, and was then rebuilt and painted maroon. Rusty said he was never to be seen again because he didn’t know the full story.
I loved and appreciate this video. I had no idea Sesame Street had a trademark of the Bert and Ernie names. I'm a writer, and have a character that's named Ernie. So, that knowledge really saved me there, and I'll change the Ernie name to something else. Thanks!
9:27 I agree, when I first saw Emily to the Rescue and heard this dude had a name I thought it was cool but didn’t think much of it until I actually saw Thomas the Babysitter and Thomas’s Fuzzy Friend. I rlly wish they did more with Albert like having him have conversations with the engines
I kinda like the idea of Bertram being TFC's name in the TV show. If you're going to have one fat controller for the entire TV show and not acknowledge, uh... The concept of aging, why not give him a name different from all the RWS fat controllers?
With you calling bert and ernie as "bert and errrrrrrniiiieeeee" i have a idea for the next video. Can you do a compilation of every time you or someone else said "ernie" and at the end you play a scene from looney tunes were a dentist says "be quiet! Shut up!
I wonder if it was intentional that Iron Bert got his name when Arlesdale Bert already existed, or Oliver the Excavator got his when Oliver the Western Engine already existed, or not... Or maybe the writers just didn't care that those names were already taken
13:25 I didn’t know that. At least ‘Arry’s name isn’t Ernie otherwise that would cause more problems. To this day it’s still hard to tell the differences between ‘Arry and Bert. While promos and merchandise depict Bert with more stubble. It’s very hard to notice in the show.
Yeah I remember around 04/05 when I was about 10/11 and the Pack was kind of new, I remember wanting both Olivers to appear in the same story. About a decade later, I got my wish!
Maybe the main controller’s full name in CGI is Sir Bertram Topham Hatt? “Bertram” personally, “Topham” professionally. Also, because I signed a contract…. *EEEERRRRRRRRNIIIIIIIEEEEEEE*
I like to think Bert the cleaner and porter are the same character. Bert, originally a cleaner at Vicarstown, worked his way up to Porter at Tidmouth. After all, the two stories are set apart by a decade
I liked Albert the workman since it was another human caracter added with his family instead of more train caracters I liked how they gave humans a story to shine along trains but it would be itonic if his kid thomas grew up to be a workman next minute he has son called percy btw greats vids
5:05/5:11 I would like to know what model companies (active or defunct) were used to make the various carriages & wagons for Awdry's Mid Sodor Layout (they should have a date stamp of sorts somewhere near the wheelbase)?
Two Wills, fourteen Berts and one Adam. That's neat.
It's the Final Bert-down.

Being Bart/Bert myself watching my name ranked is so cursed. I love it xD
Heard the “ernieeee!” And saw Bertie, and thought “bertieeee!”
(Sing it like the “ernieee!” Meme)
18:06 I used to think this was because they didn’t want kids to be confused with iron bert
As you can see, he’s definitely not running out of ideas😂

Hey, everything is an idea. And so long as you have some sort of an idea, then just ball.
@@LG_Official. great point
I can't believe that there's a Thomas and Friends magazine story about Thomas Wishing that he could eat like normal people can 😂😂😂😂😂
That Was Strange!
It is, but seems to be in character.

Albert is indeed RWS canon thanks to the lectures, which specifically named him, Jim, and Tim as being sold in 1936
Bert Simpson
Lol
Truly a Bertie moment.

Makes sense given the franchise was created by a WilBERT
An Reverend Wilbert
He's truely taking on what the fans have been wondering and I love it
Out of all the Berts across the main series, I'd say my favorites are Bert (Arledale) and Bertie.
What a great ranking this was. When this video was announced, I’ve been trying hard to count many berts as I can. What a challenge that was. Great job! 👍🏻👍🏻
The north western railway- an equal opportunity employer, if your name is Bert.
I still think Albert sounds exactly like Rheneas.
Which Albert
@@jackseptil4048 The CGI one.
I feel like there is an ever so slight difference between the way that they sound. But mostly the same.
Albert has a bit of a softer voice, I think.
Your comment says it’s four days old, even though the video is not even one…
@@merlinandmurdoch7837 I had early access.

The crazy thing is, Bert and Ernie got their names from a cop and taxi driver, respectively, from the 1946 movie, "It’s A Wonderful Life".
I once knew an Alex whose mom was named Alice and one of his close friends was named Alec
It was hell to have them all in the same room 😂

1:04 dude got the flashback to the past there. I remember buying that one just so I had oliver and I used to play with oliver in my sandbox.
If I had a nickel for every time a Thomas character is named Bert, I would have enough to buy some crips.
Someone needs to make an inside about all of ttte's berts meeting eachother, & call it ' the best of the berts.'
I never thought about 'Arry and Bert having distinct personalities in "Stepney Gets Lost". Huh.
Two most legendary Thomas. Therious characters cannons Sesame Street

Imagine if Albert’s wife had named their kid after the controller, then there would be another Bert to rank.
Bertram better be S tier
He's the worst one
Which one?
0:07 when was SpongeBob canon to the Thomas franchise? 😂
I kinda like the idea of Bertram being TFC's name in the TV show. If you're going to have one fat controller for the entire TV show and not acknowledge, uh... The concept of aging, why not give him a name different from all the RWS fat controllers?
I’m glad Bertie finally got a win!
11:58 they should have named the baby Bertram so we could have 14 Berts!
11:51 BERTRAM
This got me giggling and shitting
There's also two Nicks in the TTTE fandom that I know of. Me and TheUnluckyTug.
Here is a drinking game take a shot everytime TT or Will says the word "Bert"
For every time he says Bert, take a shot
Next : every oliver in TTE ranked
As a fellow bert (Robert) I found this video very entertaining
Very well done
Plot twist the 2 diesels who tried to scrap Stepney from Stepney gets lost are different characters from Arry and Bert

This theories ranks everything! What’s next? Ranking famous ttte oc’s?
Probably
Remember that one video when the Thomas theorist said
Albert Albert ALBERT
Fun Fact: In the polish dubs Bertie is femail, In the first Berta and in the second Bercia.
