Honestly... I feel like it took these past months and a serious conversation between me and my girlfriend tonight to finally understand House, his addiction, his fear of pain... and also Cuddy. It hit different this edit did after tonight and I think that's simply because well, I know people who take drugs and I'm fine with the fact they take them however, I met somebody recently who began taking drugs recreationally for fun... only for it to slowly become an addiction, taking them night after night sat on her own alone. All of this was caused by PTSD, not physical pain yes however, it was a physical symptom the drugs helped her avoid by keeping her awake and preventing her from sleeping... while also preventing the nightmares at night and the images she saw replaying the trauma. My point is well... House is right, "Life is Pain" however, each and every person face their pain in a different way. Some people hide away by simply ignoring it or running away. Some people on the other hand relish in it and cause it for themselves such as House seemed to do multiple times across the show (such as with Stacy which Wilson even called him out on.) Some people when facing their pain, or running away... some people may benefit and it may be right for them however, some people are self destructive such as many people who take drugs such as House. Sorry for the rant... idk. Ya know what though? I do think it might be time for me to make certain changes in my life I know that though.
House is the only person that I identify with. I identify with his pain because of his leg. I identify for him not wanting to have anyone because he knows he will get hurt. It's true that pain can change a person. Sometimes for the worst. When the pain becomes too great, you look for any solution to make it stop. And at some point it becomes a part of you. But when the pain floweth over by the hands of others, it really changes the way you think and operate. The ones who knowingly inflict pain do so because of their great understanding of it. They know a level of pain that nothing should ever know. And yet there are others who also know that level of pain that don't wish it on anybody. Pain comes in many forms. So we should all seek to not want others to experience the pain you know all too well. Pain is inevitable. But to actively seek to inflict it is a despicable act that nobody should endeavor to commit. We all have our own experiences. And we can all distribute those experiences to others in a productive way so that nobody would have to endure that same pain. The ones who are unable to see the errors in their distribution of pain should be dealt with accordingly. Because if we are to grow and thrive, the cycle of pain must be broken. If not, that same cycle will bring ruin to us all. However, that pain also grants the user a gift. A gift which if used for good can be profoundly good. And if used for bad, can be just as greatly bad. It's a gift that has essentially made the world what it is. Because without it, no great minds would have been capable of making the advancements. It's a double edged sword. The gift should be preserved. But it should also be guided for the greater good

When you're at the bottom of depression it can be so disorienting you forget there's anything different, that there's anything to compare it to. That's not the case. There are ways for things to get better and they will. In terms of your life there's a lot you can do. A good diet, exericize, healthy sleep schedule, and frequent socialization can all help. Talking to your family would be a good place to start. Talk therapy can do wonders. If you ever are in a place where you think you are a danger to yourself or others call 9-1-1 and explain what you are feeling. Your safety and the safety of those around you needs to be a top priority. The world would be a little less amazing without you, I hope things improve.

I'm only 12 I have severe depression and anxiety, I dont know how I'm going to make it I wanna become a doctor but I won't be smart enough my sisters are smart sometimes I wonder if I'm actually related to them, I to scared to tell my dad I wanna tell him but I cant when I'm older I think I might kill myself, I might hurt people but the pain is just to severe depression is a life long battle that I dont think I'm going win
When you're at the bottom of depression it can be so disorienting you forget there's anything different, that there's anything to compare it to. That's not the case. There are ways for things to get better and they will. In terms of your life there's a lot you can do. A good diet, exericize, healthy sleep schedule, and frequent socialization can all help. Talking to your family would be a good place to start. Talk therapy can do wonders. If you ever are in a place where you think you are a danger to yourself or others call 9-1-1 and explain what you are feeling. Your safety and the safety of those around you needs to be a top priority.
The world would be a little less amazing without you, I hope things improve.
