    Had the opportunity to test it for months. 4.5 stroke is a beast. The grail for blackwork, trad, neotrad, japanese etc
    Would recommand 100%

      May I ask at what volts or amps lining starts on the 4.5. Im a light handed artist because of the damage from being a cook for many years and in and out of the fridge, and then the heat. Now I’m tattooing at a shop and I’m happy. I’m also interested in getting the 4.5, but I hear it’s very powerful. I know the 3.5 starts at 8volts, so would the the 4.5 start at 7.5 volts?
      It seems logical to me. Anything would help. Thank you.🙏🏼

    Thank You for the review. I moved from using Cheyenne exclusively to using Neuma. In fact your reviews of Neuma helped me dial in my purchases. Haven’t looked back since. Will have to check out this new Cheyenne though. Blessings Brother. 😉🙏🏼

    Cheyenne is hard to go wrong with any of their machines every single one ive owned except the cheyenne pen all have a purpose on my rotation i still use the sol terra for color but i got the 4.5 and that machine on the responsive mode 2 is insane but u need to try cobra from inkmachines thats the one right i like using the most but this machine even with the longer stroke the extra responsive modes geared to like bng shading or layering color like Pooch realism in color stuff

    Hi man. As always, you made a great review. I was thinking of getting Cheyenne Unlimited 4.0. but after this review i am a bit confused. Would you recommend Sol Nova 2 with battery instead of Sol Nova Unlimited? If so, which one should I choose?

    • @moonravengraphics778
      @moonravengraphics778 Před 11 měsíci +1

      Go with the Sol Nova and a Critical / Musotoku battery, it's a better option compared to the Sol Nova Unlimited. That way you can use it both with a cable and with a battery. If you haven't made a purchase yet, I would suggest waiting until 11.11, last year I bought a silver Sol Nova for 580 euros ( was 780 euros) before the sale. =)

      @@fahricagdas9574 You're welcome! 11th November / Black Friday is close, you can expect great deals. I still have the list with machines I considered last year, Sol Nova unlimited was 891.61 € (tax included), regularly it's 1 200 €. 😀

      @@moonravengraphics778 there are big price differences man. I’ll definitely wait for the Black Friday . By the way, I want to ask you something. I usually work on realistic works, color packaging, and sometimes bold lines. I was thinking of getting 2.5 to 4.5. Should I get 3.5 instead of 2.5? What do you say about this?

    • @moonravengraphics778
      @moonravengraphics778 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @@fahricagdas9574 Go for 2.5 and 4.5 mm stroke versions. The 3.5 is all rounder and you won't need it when you have a lining & color packing machine plus the 2.5 version for sof shading / realism. The was 40% summer sale on Sol Luna and Sol Terra, 2.5 and 4 mm stroke, I think they were around 320-330 € each (tax included), without a grip, I was considering getting those two plus disposable FK Irons click grips, as they are 15$ box with 24 grips. We'll see the deals soon, but it will be good ones. 😀

    I have a question about the Rover R1. If used with this model in steady mode, do the power surges last longer than normal?

  • @NothingNowhereNoOne
    @NothingNowhereNoOne Před 4 měsíci

    I got the Cheyenne sol nova 4.5 to do it all. It does not. Lining is weak with it. And whenever I try to turn power supply past 12.5 , the machine just shuts off. Is that normal???

    • @tattootheory
      @tattootheory  Před 3 měsíci

      What cartridges are you using? And the machine will not go past 12.5 the motor is a 12 volt motor dude. Everyone assumes that a longer stroke is gonna be better for lining while I'm over here dropping lines with a 14 round shader with that exact machine in a 2.5. The longer stroke revolution on any machine will need more power it will run slower because there is more travel distance for the motors rotational force. This situation forces you to to crank the machine up and go slower and that machine is not good for everything in my opinion.

      Yes it is if you’ve been tattooing long enough you’ll remember in 2007 Cheyenne released the hawk which was a 2.5mm stroke I used that and the spirit for years and I love a short stroke machine for everything. People think you need a 4mm or 5mm stroke to line, no you don’t at all. I come from coil machines using Aaron cains liners all day and they were all 2mm strokes. I’ve been tattooing since 1993 man.

      @@jonathanperalta2354 if you are looking at the newer hawk pen unio with adjustable stroke that machine is quite long and does not work well with a battery pack. The original hawk pen is honestly a waste of money. The new sol nova 2 has a more powerful motor than both and has more options built into it like I show in the video. It works great with Cheyenne compatible battery packs as well.
